The first novel was a fun, exciting, action filled adventure with plenty of twists and turns. This sequel is an excellently polished continuation of the story with well constructed developments and new intriguing characters. I look forward to reading the next instalment in the series. :)

I finally finished this. Now onto the 3rd book! What a long journey, from prisoner to the King, Dustin have going through so much. And he have finally get what he wanted, a ton of kids! I give this 5*!

Great story and sequel, really happy I found the other works by author after first reading abuse of magic. As of now this is the 4th book I read by her and they have always been of excellent quality. Interesting, well written, with the occasional humor throughout all the books I've read. Seeing the quality being constant makes u want to read more of her works and look forward to any new ones. Thanks for all the hard work and great content!

Looking great so far. Have to say, having this be a completly different novel makes the 1st one kinda seem like a prequel. You could've just added it as a new volume.

I've followed Dustin's adventures right from the first book, and he's a perfect example of the phrase a leaf in the wind. But he's done well for himself, showing a character that's relatable and just trying to make the best of all his unfortunate situations. This is more than just a good read, it's an amazing read. The author's one of the best writers, whose works I've had the pleasure of reading. Good job
