After the fire subsided there was nothing left. Every corpse had returned to the ground they came from. The smell of burnt corpses rippled through the village. It was a foul smell. Orcs never smelt good, to begin with. Burning them made the smell ten times worse.
Lucas wondered how the orcs would react after seeing the pillar of fire. Lucas imagined if he saw something that was way beyond his level. He would escape. As such maybe they were going to run too. When he came to that conclusion. He decided to go find them before they leave. He wasn't going to let any EXP disappear from him.
Sprinting with: < Starting speed Fire Dragon's Leap> Lucas reached the Northside of the village in flash. There he saw 5 orcs left. 2 of them were high-level the rest were 2 were mid-level and one low- level. Lucas's mana-eyes and combat mode were still active. So he was confident that he could kill them without much trouble. So Lucas dashed to the first high-level orc. Appearing behind the orc Lucas sliced his dagger into his throat. He twisted his knife and then pulled it out. It was harder to pull the knife out than to put in. As the dagger showed its unwillingness to not absorb all the blood instantly. But Lucas ignored its will. It needed to know that Lucas was in charge.
Dashing to his next victim Lucas stabbed his knife into the gut of the High-level orc. Then made a long horizontal line incision ripping through all the vital organs. Blood splattered everywhere as the guts of the orc fell out of his stomach. On his knees, the orc tried to place everything back inside himself. But there was so much blood and stomach acid that it was hard to grasp its colon that was half out, half in. It was at that moment that Lucas cleanly sliced his head into two with a vertical slice from the top.
Lucas disposed of the rest moments after. Once done, he got another notification.
+1
After all, the emotions of battle had subsided, Lucas noticed that he was covered in the blood and fluids of the orcs. Smelling himself, he could hardly breathe as a cold shock came over him. He wanted to hurl but he kept it in by putting his fist to his mouth and swallowing the fluid which came from his stomach. This was the first time Lucas had killed so many creatures in cold blood with a dagger. It was one thing to kill monsters with magic and from afar. But another to actually kill it up close and personal. To feel the dagger piercing through flesh. To see the faces of the creatures when they die. The fear in their eyes. To feel the orcs will to survive and then to snatch it from them, never to give it back. To watch their lifeless bodies hit the ground with blood pouring out of them. It was definitely a site and feeling he would need to get used.
After stabilizing his emotions, combat mode did its job and kept him calm. Once Lucas realized all was done. He wanted to go and check the village for any plunder he could take from them. But just as he was about to go and check. The dagger expressed its will to drink the blood of the rest of the orcs. ' Aaah, I forgot.' After the prompt from the dagger, Lucas walked to all the cadavers of the orcs and stabbed his knife into each of them. The dagger absorbed every bit of blood from their bodies. As if the daggers thirst had been satiated. Lucas felt little to no blood lust from the dagger anymore.
Now that it was appeased. It was time to appease himself. So Lucas walked through all the houses taking what he found useful. But in the end, all he got was 10 gold coins 30 silver and a whole lotta bronze coins. This was the worst findings he had ever found to date. Lucas was disappointed but then again it did make sense. This village was way to run down to have anything of importance. So Lucas decided to look around for another settlement. Maybe he could find more orcs and level up even further. He looked at his level and his new perks and he was happy. But he still wanted more. He still had a lot of mana to spare. He only had a few cuts here and there. Nothing life-threatening. So with combat mode activated Lucas looked 500 meters to the west, east, south and north of him.
That is where he found a settlement. Well even with combat mode and mana-eyes active he couldn't tell for sure. He only saw walls. Which had to mean it was a settlement. So Lucas ran towards it. As he got closer and closer he saw that this was no settlement, this was a town. The walls were 2 meters and made from stone. The only way in and out was through a gate that had high-level orcs protecting it. They had had watch towers everywhere with two orcs stationed inside. Once Lucas was 50 meters away he climbed on a tree. Until he was 3 meters above the ground. This allowed him to see what behind the walls. When he saw he was astonished. The houses were even made of stone. It looked like a human town. There were monsters selling equipment. The guards were equipped in silver armour that glistened in the sun. The guards also seemed to have a sense of pride that all guards should have in their job. This village was thriving. Even so, they all looked like they were on the alert. Clearly, something had spooked them.
Lucas wondered maybe it was him. He did release: < Hell's formation.> Maybe all the trees weren't enough to hide it from them. Or maybe while Lucas was waiting for the orcs to enter his trap zone the orcs on this side alerted them. Nonetheless, it was irrelevant. There was no way Lucas could take on this village by himself. After doing an attribute check he saw that that the guards by the gate were level 45. The guards in the watchtower were level 40. The guards in the streets ranged from 45-50. What shocked him the most was that there were even some that had a question mark on. This meant that they were 40 levels above him. Lucas gulped dry air after seeing that, ' No, wonder Thea never took me here.'
Lucas wanted to fight more but there was no way he was going to take this village on. He would definitely die a pointless death. While Lucas was looking at the occupants of the town something caught his eye. 400 meters away he saw a blur moving at a frightening speed towards the town. Lucas tried to zone in onto the whatever it was that was running so fast but he couldn't. It was going faster than his eyes could move. So Lucas zoomed out and looked at the blur until it stopped.
It was now 50 meter from the town. Now that it had stopped Lucas could see what it was. The monster was void black from head to toe. It stood bi-pedal with no fabric covering its body. It was probably asexual because there were no sexual organs to speak of. It had the frame of a human. However, it was not shaped like a human. Its feet were long and its toes looked like knives. It's had an upside-down triangle upper body shape. Thin below and muscular on top. Its head was abnormally long. And protruding from his forehead were two 10 centimetre horns.
Looking at the horns Lucas gulped. Because it could be a demon. But after he did an attribute check he was certain of it.

Looking at the stats of this demon a cold sweat came over Lucas. But instead of running away he wanted to see what the demon was up to.
The demon just stood there 50 meters away from the town. Until again it dashed forward at a speed Lucas couldn't keep up with. It kept running, when it reached the wall it ran straight through it. A loud boom was heard as the wall was obliterated by the demon. Debris littered the ground and the powdered wall filled the sky.
Alerted by the loud bang the monsters became alert. Immediately the alarm systems went off. This was the ringing of a bell in the watchtowers. The bell rang exactly 3 times. Followed by silence and then it rang once. This meant that the town was under attack by something that had the potential to wipe them all out and this existence was at the north gate.
Once the dust from the wall disappeared the monsters saw it was a demon that attacked. Fear crippled most of them as they fell to the ground on their knees. The demon enjoyed this site. Watching lesser creatures prostrate before him. But in the end, he thought of them as lesser creatures so he was still going to kill them. So using his blade-like fingers he sliced a few monsters in one motion. Once they orcs saw this they got a wake-up and call and decided to fight for their lives. However, resistance was futile. The demon was too fast and agile. It dodged all their attacks cutting through them all like butter. After a while reinforcements came but they all died too. The demon killed all the guards and then he searched the houses. Killing all the children and non-combat orcs hiding in their houses. Once he was done slaughtering the orcs. He took out a flute from his storage space, that he could create with magic. He blew the D note. The sound was extremely high pitch so it could not be heard by the normal human ear. The sound travelled throughout the forest until it reached the desired ears. Suddenly from afar two blurs could be seen travelling to the town at warp speed. By the time Lucas blinked two new faces could be seen standing next to the demon.
When the high demon saw the other two demons. It bowed its head in reverence. These two looked more human-like, unlike their servant. The male figure was a slender demon with pale white skin. It had an effeminate appearance. And on its forehead were two 20 cm black horns that curved upwards. Its hair was jet black. It wore the standard green light armour that clung tightly to its flesh. The female was pale and slender too. She wore a gold breastplate that only covered her D-cup breasts. Underneath her curvacious and supple curves, she wore a red short skirt, that covered her private parts. She had 18 cm horns that curved upwards coming from her forehead. Just like her brother, her hair was jet black. Her hair reached all the way to her bum and flowed seamlessly in the wind. These two exuded strength and dignity. So much so that even though Lucas couldn't see their stats. He had still wanted to see it, ' Attribute check.'

After seeing the stats of the demons Lucas knew there was absolutely no way in hell he could take these demons on. Heck, the servant wiped the floor with the orcs Lucas couldn't take on alone. What worried him the most was that this was only the 4th Prince and Princess. How did the first look? How strong was the Demon King himself? Whatever the case it was a level that was far beyond him.
After looking at the stats of the demons Lucas wanted to leave. There was no use staying here anymore. It was far too dangerous to stay in this forest. He didn't even know if they were the only demons in this forest. But as he was about to tell Thea to take him home he felt someone looking at him, ' It can't be. I am more than fifty meters away from them. I am only able to see them because of mana-eyes and combat mode.' But when he looked their way again the Prince was looking straight at him. The Prince looked him dead in the soul. Once their eyes connected unimaginable fear washed over Lucas. It was so strong that it rendered combat mode's mood stabiliser useless. When the Prince saw Lucas it activated its skill: < Demon King's Eyes.> This was a skill that only royalty could use. It was a skill that imposed your strength and aura on others. The higher the difference in strength between you and your victim. The better the results will be.
Because the difference in strength between Lucas and the prince is like night and day. The effects of the skill were strong. Lucas's mind was absorbed by fear. So much that it crippled him. He could not move. Lucas felt like he was being suffocated by the weight of 1000 tons of pressure. Lucas's vision turned black. It was as if he was blind. Then he finally the light came back. But when he came too he was no longer on the tree. He was deep underwater and he was out of breath. Immediately Lucas began swimming upwards frantically as his oxygen levels depleted. Just when he was about to reach the top to take a breath of much-needed air. Black seaweed from the bottom of the ocean tangled around him and kept him under. Lucas struggled to break free. But as he did he was losing more and more oxygen. Almost involuntarily breathing in water bubbles came from his mouth, ' That was close! I can't die yet.' Regaining his calm. Lucas took out the dagger from Thea's storage and cut the seaweed. Then he swam upwards but just as he was about to reach the top. The top disappeared as if he was nowhere near the top. As if his mind was playing tricks on him. Just to give him hope and then to snatch it away from him. Despite that Lucas kept pushing forward. So he swam to the top but it happened yet again. Determined Lucas swam upwards again but he only got half way until his air was running out. Bubbles started coming out of Lucas's mouth. Until a lot came out...
" There's a human 50 meters away from here. I put him under Demon King's eye. He won't be moving again." Berroth Zul'ras said.
"Oh, you noticed it too. I felt like someone was checking me out. But on a deeper level than most guys do." Janath Zul'ras said.
" Unforgivable! I have yet to see my sisters body naked. Yet this bastard human dares to lay his filthy eyes on her."
A nerve twitched on Janath Zul'ras's head. She had it up to here with her brother's sister complex. It was because of this that they were dead last in the ranking for the throne. Nobody took them seriously because her brother was such a character. " That's not what I meant! I meant it felt like he was checking my genetic make-up."
" Unforgivable! I have yet to see my sisters genetic make-up. How dare he beat me to it!"
Janath Zul'ras gave up with the explanations. Her brother wasn't listening. This was usually the case when boys were involved. It was because of that that she had never dated a guy before. She had never felt the warmth of another person of the opposite sex other than her father. But even that was cutting it close to her brother. She wasn't even allowed to hug her other siblings. Especially the 1st Prince, the prettiest of them all.
Seeing that the two weren't dealing with the pest in the tree. Soglozor Neregner asked, " Should I go dispose of the human."
Coming out of his own imagination. Berroth Zul'ras struck a pose, " No, I'll do it. I'll make him understand that my sister is off limits! I'll rip out his eyes and feed it to him. Then I'll skin him slowly and make him eat it. Afterwards, I'll cut him slowly avoiding any artery or vein. I will bring him pain. But even that won't be enough to pay for the pain he has caused me."
After saying that he darted off. Despite all the garbage he was talking about. No one stopped him. Because even though he seems unintelligent he is impressively powerful. That was one of the reasons Janath Zul'ras stayed with him. Other than him being her older brother. She wanted to change his nature. If she could achieve that. Becoming the 1st Princess would be easy.
Berroth Zul'ras dashed down towards Lucas leaving a cloud of dust behind. While he was running he was uprooting the trees as he passed them.
" Seems like this human really pissed of my brother."
"Seems so, your Royal Highness."
When Berroth Zul'ras got close enough he protracted his dagger-like nails. Then he effortlessly jumped 3 meters in the air. He was now on the same height level as Lucas. So with all his rage and power, he sliced down cutting flesh. After cutting flesh Berroth Zul'ras licked his nails clean of blood. Then he looked around at the destruction he caused. Within 30 meters of himself, it was a wasteland. There was nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Please read chapter 71 I really need some feedback on it there.
