Bab 7: Chapter 6: You Leave and I Will Follow (3)

The last thing she heard was him taunting the prince. As she started to fall, Kryscht ran back just in time to catch her before she hit the ground. As he gathered her into his arms, she completely passed out. The rogue sauntered towards Kryscht, grinning like the madman he was, telling Kryscht how he would never keep her, how he would drain her dry, and how he would take her away from Kryscht. To which Kryscht replied that it would depend on if he had the ability to take her away from him.. Kryscht told him he had three days to prepare, and the winner would get the girl. Kryscht took off at full speed knowing the rogue would not be able to keep up with him. He took her to a near by inn that belonged to a friend of his where he knew she'd be safe and realized he was ready to fight for a human girl whose name he didn't even know; he thought he was going crazy. He left her in the hands of his friend and his daughter as he knew she would be safe and able to recover there....
