Bab 18: Chapter 18
"Third POV"
After the conversation with the jonin, kyoshi headed to the nearest stronghold of kumogakure. Most of the people of kumo were dark skinned which is kind of odd considering they lived in very rocky mountains and didn't need to evolve in such a way.
Kyoshi used light rock jutsu on himself and flew high above the clouds[AN:: see that?] as the area was foggy. Finding an isolated place, kyoshi landed. Kyoshi began to wonder how the three nations allied with each other considering the distance between them. without giving konoha a clue, they invaded uzushiogakure in original canon. That was almost impossible as konoho was between sand and uzushio while other two were across the sea. so kyoshi began to look around the base for some info. He put a genjutsu surrounding his person so that he is undetectable began to walk searching for main command station.
Kyoshi walked on the ceiling as to avoid any accident he may have if he walked on ground. Though that was hard with his sensory perceptions, still better to err on caution than getting found out.
Eventually kyoshi found the location he was after where he found some people having a meeting. kyoshi crept closer as to listen to their conversation. There he found a surprise, a sand shinobi and a mist shinobi were sitting around the table surrounded by kumo shinobi.
The sand shinobi was asking about the progress of the plan.
"The plan is to be executed in a month's time. there are to be no mishap from your sides. Hide this intel from any outside sources. We can't have our cooperation compromised. Am I clear?" the kumo shinobi at the front solemnly declared.
The rest of the occupants nodded their agreement. Then the suna shinobi stood up and asked,"We know the importance of this mission so you can expect best security for this. But I'm still questioning the probability of succession of this plan. Are you sure he will win? after all uzushiogakure even without the help of konoha is still a powerful country. So we have enough counter for their fuinjutsu techniques?"
He was quite worried if this failed the most consequence will have to be beared by sunagakure. His village was weakest among the major village and if this plan failed konoha will take revenge from suna as it is closer.
"Don't worry! We have devised a counter for it. We will attack at the dead of the night, ambush them when they are at their lowest. without sufficient time to setup the techniques, they will be wiped out before they can retaliate." the kumo shinobi answered calmly in the outside but sneered at the suna shinobi in his heart.
'Heh weakling! if it wasn't for raikage's order. do you think we will include you. you guys are just meatshield for us.' but nobody knew it from his outward stoic appearance well except kyoshi that is.
The shinobi in the room were unaware that they were already in his genjutsu. Kyoshi just allowed the things to play out so he could know if they have any info on the invasion. as matter of fact they had quite a lot it seems. so he froze their thought process. The shinobi were silent like time stopped, they didnot even know they were frozen. with kyoshi's mastery of genjutsu, he made one that worked similar to tsukiyomi where the time was in his control. He then began to look around the shinobi's minds. He found quite a lot, the route of their travel, the numbers of the troops, time of attack and more. aside from that he also found that current kage of respective village are also going to participate in this war.
after getting the info he began to look through their minds for their jutsu inventory.
From suna shinobi, he found the puppetry jutsu which he learned immediately. The second kazekage was a master of puppetry. kyoshi was definitely going to compare his skill with him after a month's time.The thought excited him, defeating master of puppetry with one month of practice.
not much of jutsu in suna so he checked mist shinobi next. From him kyoshi found water type jutsu like hiding in mist, suiryudan, and more. He also found the names of current seven swordsmen. Nothing more useful except the info of current mizukage, gengetsu hozuki. He knew the man from anime during fourth shinobi war. wasn't very strong though. His abilities were liquefaction of hozuki clan and boil release. kyoshi could pinch him like an ant if he wanted but let's wait for the invasion.
The kumo shinobi took a bit more time as there were so many of them. He also got the most out of them. the lightning nature jutsu along with black lighting technique. One of them even had lightning armour jutsu, well kyoshi put that aside so he can review that later. He also found some info on second raikage the guy was quite strong. His mastery of Strom release was top notch. kyoshi will copy some of them later. But most surprising news was not these.
It was the news about tools of sage of six paths. The number of them are going to be used in this invasion. The Bashosen(Banana palm fan😅), benihisago(crimson gourd), kokinjo(canopy rope) and shichiseiken(seven star sword). The tools were mostly useless if anybody knew their uses but kyoshi was still going to get them for his collection.
'Maybe🤔 I will use Bashosen sometime?' kyoshi thought.
after getting the info. He released them all from genjutsu and shunshined out to a inconspicuous location. The shinobi present in the room continued as if nothing happened. The most they felt was they were distracted for a second and awakened right after. They didnot even know what they had lost in that one second.
Kyoshi after marking the location got ready to head to uzushiogakure. He flew to the edge of the island and landed to rest for a while. he reviewed all the jutsu he got this trip. kyoshi then summoned a shadow clone and telling him to inform the clone in konoha about the jutsu. He dispelled the summoned clone as to transmit info.
After testing for a while, he got up and headed for the village. it was surrounded by a dome of barrier fuinjutsu. Except for the entrance, there was no other way to enter anonymously. so kyoshi genjutsued his way through the door. after entering he transformed into a simple looking tourist and began to look around the village.
The entire village filled with redheads. everywhere he looked he could see was red. only few people with different hair popped up occasionally. He expected the village to be a mess of ADHD considering the village were filled with chakra monsters. But it was similar to other village just with more ninja population. He checked around the village, looking the scenery, tried the cuisine etc.The ramen based food was the majority.
'Not a surprise there!' kyoshi amusedly thought.
after some time he felt the time for vacation to end so he erased his presence and went for kage tower. The infiltration was easy until he reached the office room. the office room was empty except for some masked ones hidden in the corners.even the floor was littered by a list of traps on the floor. though he could unseal them all but he took the easy way. he jumped to the ceiling and entered the room. from there he quickly knocked all of masked ones down. he checked their memories for the treasury. He found the location of the kinjutsu scroll in a book stand.
kyoshi found the scroll with all the ninjutsu from the village listed. so He quickly scanned the scroll with sharingan then put it at the same place. He wrote a note saying 'I was here' with his mask drawn and put it on the desk. After waking the ninjas and erasing their memories, he teleported out of the tower straight to kanami's village.
'what's with these ninja and their logic. all of them could walk an vertical surface and nobody expected someone to enter from the ceiling.' kyoshi was baffled by the lack of difficulty. it was easy as stealing candy from a baby.
"did they knowingly loosened their security or something. it can't be that was all their protection." kyoshi voiced his thoughts.
"Anyway forget it. let's just wait for the week to end. I will meet them later anyway."
"For now, let's practice all I learned today." Kyoshi filed it all for later.
So began the training montage. The following week he practiced the puppetry technique on unassuming bandits.It worked by attaching the chakra strings at motor nerve clusters and with pulse of chakra control the movement of the muscles. at first, the movement was awkward but after few days he fixed the problem. the living were very hard to control though as their consciousness interfered with nerve Impulses.
"Well i guess I will experiment with it later." Kyoshi thought on his way to meet the uzushio jonin. he donned the concealing mask and went to the harbour. He found the jonin at the pier from before, so kyoshi casually walked up to him.
"Yo, what's up?" kyoshi waved at the jonin. the jonin was baffled by this casualness. He had a village to worry about and this guy was speaking as if it was no issue at all.
"What do you mean what's up? don't you know what's up? do you think this is a joke? my home is at stake here. so can you please show some decency and at least pretend to care?" the jonin was very angry. he gave kyoshi a cold stare.
"ok ok don't be angry man. geez, take it easy and relax. tell me what did your kage say?" kyoshi waved him off and calmly said.
The jonin was suppressed the urge to throw a exploding tag at the masked bastard. He reigned in his anger and replied coldly.
"The kage has called for a meeting tomorrow. so we are here to invite you to uzu today. please ready your preparation and head with us now."
"Hmm that's too long. I have other things to do tomorrow" kyoshi complained, "so tell me this, how long would it take you to get in contact with your kage and receive his response?"
The jonin answered,"I can get that done in an hour but why? what do you need to transmit? "
"Oh you can then tell him that I'm going to be outside the kage tower in an hour or so. ask him to get someone to pick me up. ok bye" and with a proof of smoke he disappeared.
The uzumaki jonin screamed in frustration. Not knowing how to process this, he just decided to do as he was asked. The jonin quickly contacted his kage through a telegraph seal and informed the situation.
uzukage was silent for a while before he calmly answered back,"alright there is nothing we can do. we can only trust his words and follow through his wishes."
"As for you, quickly collect your teammates and return immediately." The jonin quickly replied his affirmation and returned after meeting back with his teammates.
After about an hour, kyoshi teleported outside the tower invisible. There he found a person wearing kage hat at the entrance of the tower.
' oh the kage himself came to receive me.'
kyoshi was impressed by uzukage's forwardness. His down to earth behaviour instead of sending a ninja under him knowing the severity of information was commendable.
"Hello there! I'm the one you are looking for, Uzukage sama." kyoshi greeted the personage in front of him.
The Uzukage was amazed by his presence. He didn't expect him to be present here in short time it took for him to get the information of his arrival. even for the uzumaki shinobis it was impossible. Now the Uzukage believed the masked person's prowess.
"Hello I'm the nidaime Uzukage of uzushiogakure. welcome to our village. I hope you didnot have much difficulty navigating our village." He politely greeted back.
"Don't worry, it's not my first visit here. I came here few days ago as well so I know the way around. The ramen was great though." kyoshi waved his hand dismissively.
The Uzukage did a spit take at that answer. but quickly reformed his posture," ah well, good then. please follow me to my office. we need to discuss the current situation." Then walked forward to lead the way.
They eventually reached the office. the Uzukage then opened the door and invited kyoshi in.
"This is my office. most of the assignment and debriefing of missions is done here by me. Here is the most secure place in this village as it has a lot of village secrets here. this includes the jutsu library, mission reports etc." the Uzukage explained proudly trying to pique kyoshi's interest.
But kyoshi just nonchalantly pointed at the corners and said." oh I know, I came here as well. those four were also here that day."
everyone except kyoshi screamed out.
"WHAAAAAT"
"Oh yeah! old man, you must store more jutsu here. I looked around and only found only one scroll. don't be stingy and invest on your jutsu collection." Kyoshi complained to the Uzukage as if he was the one wronged here.
"EEEEEEHHHHHH"
AN:: The MC's shamelessness was so bad the test of the chapter was stopped because all of them fainted from shock.😋😋😋😋😋😋
so next chapter is going to have a epic fight. or I will try to make it epic. don't know how it will do?
so one request for the READERS, Think up a name for the jonin and uzukage please. it's getting harder writing 'the jonin' and ' the Uzukage' you know.
To end the chapter with a fact.
-Did you know every raikage upto fourth were named "A" until darui.
and
-did you know kazekage was a hereditary position, so that's why gaara became the kage eventhough he was only a chunin and village still had experienced ninjas.
