A skater who missed his balance had pushed Punya off the wall. She gasped in shock.
"Hey Gotcha" said Thrishul who held Punya's hand who was about to fall and pulled her towards him. She wrapped her arms around his neck startled. It was a great escape from a fatal fall.
"Hey Relax...you're safe" said Thrishul patting her back.
Punya exhaled deeply and slowly released her arms from him. She bent towards the wall and saw the parapet wall being demolished to be renowned. That scared a hell out of her "OMG, what if I had fallen down??" she gasped.
"That will never happen when I'm with you. Any danger has to cross me before reaching you" said Thrishul.
"Poetic..... Uh how did I slip?" she asked.
"Wait I'll show" Thrishul stormed off to reach that skater guy.
He came back after few minutes holding a collar of a guy. He was stranger to Punya. "He pushed you. Ask him why?" growled Thrishul.
When Punya looked at him he blabbered..."I'm so sorry, I lost my balance. I'm not new to skating but I don't know how I lost balance when the whole corridor was empty" he said in panic.
"It's because you were in high speed than normal. If students were here, you would've been slow and in control. See how deep is it? Do you see those iron rods? Imagine this young girl's body torn apart from them... Rascal. I'll push you down now, then I'll apologize" Thrishul was bending that guy over the wall and threatening him.
"Thrishul let him go, may be it was an accident" said Punya.
"An Accident may have resulted in death" he yelled. He was very angry at that irresponsible guy. "I'm taking him to principal. You go home safely" he said.
"Principal may ruin his future...."
"Will you please shut up and go??" growled Thrishul.
Jyoti arrived panting for breath, "Punya are you OK?" she asked.
"Yeah I'm fine" said Punya.
"Jyoti take her home, I've some unfinished business" said Thrishul and walked away dragging that guy.
"Punya" called Jyoti.
"Yeah, I get it why he's angry. If I had fallen, I would have broken bones like my mobile down there" said Punya, she was still struggling to come out of shock.
"Punya, we won't allow anyone harm you" said Jyoti.
"What do you mean? Was this a plan or something??"
"No. No no no, I said we'll stand by you. Don't panic, I said so as you're shocked" said Jyoti. She didn't want to inscribe a baseless doubt in Punya's mind.
Punya just smiled and walked slowly downstairs.
She picked up the phone, it had shattered into pieces. She picked all of them and put them in her bag. She called Prakruth from Jyoti's phone and informed him that she was safe. Later she drove home in her bike thinking about the incident again and again.
Later that evening, Varun came home tensed. He directly walked into Punya's room and asked "What happened exactly? Are you hurt somewhere? Any injuries?" he spoke fast. Narmada who followed him stood at the door.
"Dad relax, I'm not hurt. By the way who told you?" asked Punya.
"Thrishul. Is your hand, leg or back hurting? He told you were pushed from a wall" said Varun.
"He himself saved me from falling, how will I get hurt?" she said.
"Thank God" sighed Varun.
"You were saved? what is it Punya, you didn't tell me anything..." asked Narmada.
"It was an accident. Nothing happened to me so I kept quiet. But Thrishul took that guy to Principal" said Punya explaining the whole scene.
"Good that Thrishul was around, or else what would've...." Narmada eyes welled up.
"Hey hey sweetheart relax, nothing happened. She's safe and sound here. Let her study come we'll go out" said Varun embracing Narmada who was sobbing.
"Dad" called Punya.
"Yes baby" he replied turning towards her.
"My phone broke into pieces" she showed the phone.
"Let it go. You're safe. That is what matters, we'll get new one tomorrow" he said.
"Ok after exams" said Punya smiling.
Varun left Narmada and walked towards Punya and kissed her on her forehead and said"Nothing matters when it comes to you. I wouldn't even mind if I lose everything I've earned. I want you to be safe and always happy baby".
"I know Dad, Love you" she said.
"Love you too" said Varun. Narmada was smiling at Father-daughter duo "I love you to sweetheart" said Varun teasing her.
"Varun, come" she dragged him away from Punya's room. Punya giggled.
As Rishi had been out of town with his grandparents, there was no much drama at the house.
Two more days of exams went smooth. Thrishul would never leave Punya, he stood by her side always. Prakruth used to visit Punya at the college morning and evening to ensure everything was safe for her.
"Why are you babysitting me?" asked Punya to Thrishul.
"I don't want any skater or swimmer or any idiot to use you as their balance"
"It will not happen everyday"
"I know. It is better to be on safer side. I can't even imagine to see you hurt" he scowled.
"My friends might feel bad"
"No, Punya. We're all fine with him being with you. We all decided that you shouldn't be left alone" said Jyoti.
"What? Why only me?" asked Punya.
"I mean we all will stay in a group" lied Jyoti.
"Jo tell me the truth you know. Is anyone targeting me??" asked Punya.
"No. No" said Jyoti.
"Even if anyone think about it, I'll see their end" growled Thrishul.
"Guys can you tell me what's happening???" asked Punya.
"Nothing serious Punya, Relax. They're being hypothetical" said Siri.
"Oh Ok...Come let's move. I need a lot of sleep" said Punya.
Everyone agreed to depart.
