Bab 41: Negotiation

Alfred and Michael look at Jai then they look at unconscious Byro.

Not knowing what to do next, should they awake Byro or leave him like this until he awakens himself.

"Jai you didn't have to go so far, you know he cannot do anything, to me with that battle aura of his"said Kai to Jai with a casual voice.

"it is not my fault, it's just that I have just evolved, so currently I don't have any idea about limit my strength," said Jai with a little sadness,

since he has become, so strong it is hard for him to find an opponent who can fight with him.

Kai nods"Just don't do it later, this guy is still eastern general. If something happens to him, I will have to answer to central command, how did his condition become like this?"

"Jai wake him up, I still have not finished discussing dissolving of the eastern army"

Jai nods and picks up Byro's body from the floor and places him on a sofa in sitting position as Jai uses aura healing on Byro.

Jai is also a battle mage but being a saint level battle mage, Jai knows all ways to use aura, the aura of a battle mage can not only be used for combat and strengthening the body but can also be used as a healing aura, to heal some minor wounds.

Byro who was now sitting on sofa slowly opens him as he sees Jai, standing before Kai, Alfred and Michael have already returned to their sofa.

"It seems you are awake now, my lord wants to continue discussions about dissolving the eastern army with you," said Jai as he looks at Byro and returns to stand beside Kai, but he tells Jai to sit beside him.

Hearing Kai requested Jai did not decline and sit beside him.

Byro who had regained his senses was looking at Jai as he was looking of a fear hidden within his eyes, he had not forgotten how did he became unconscious, that terrific aura and pressure which completely crushed his aura and pressed him down to floor and make him lose conscious.

'This guy don't look like a magic-user, this guy is a very powerful battle mage.'

Those kinds of thoughts were going on his mind as he had completely forgotten his previous arrogant and imposing aura of a general, before a truly powerful expert, all power and authority his nothing but dust.

'if I cannot become ally with such expect, I definitely cannot become his enemy'.

"Cough, cough, sorry sir Kai about my previous arrogant behavior and sorry if I have offended you in any way," said Byro to Kai as he lowers his head and apologizes.

"It's ok, let's continue our previous discussion about dissolving the eastern army"Kai didn't get distracted and directly aimed at his target of discussion.

Seeing Kai's serious expression and Jai's narrow golden eyes who were looking at him.

Byro was getting cold sweat as his entire back was wet due to sweat.

"Yes,yes,yes. Sir I will write a letter to the centre command about it, sir don't have to worry, as quickly as I return to my commanding officer, I will send a letter with a report that eastern region don't need an army to remain guarding here and can be dissolved"

said Byro with fear, his legs were shaking and his hands were trembling.

As Byro try to calm himself down and gather up some courage and says

"But sir if you do it, who will take care of people. We don't know when those beasts will attack, for this reason. Central command will also not accept your demand, to be more specific central cannot do this unless beasts of the forbidden forest completely disappear," said Byro.

Hearing Byro, Kai smile as he pads Jai's left shoulder and looks at Byro

"You don't have to worry about that, my friend here will take care of those beasts and will make sure that they never trouble us again"

Hearing Kai's confidence filled voice and his trust in his friend, Byro felt speechless, even those champion level magic-users and fighters will not be confident that they can take on beasts of the forbidden forest all by themselves, but this guy doesn't seem to be joking.

"We will leave tomorrow and you can come to witness it with your own eyes, how we make all beasts of the forbidden forest, submit under our might" Kai said with a bright smile on his face.

"Oh! right I just remember, if you like to join our guard order, you can apply for it after the dissolution of eastern army, if you have no other place to go and find a job" said Kai as he stood up from the sofa and placed his hands on Byro's shoulders.

"We will be happy to have a battlemage of peak warrior level among our guard order and you can also bring your friends from the eastern army, if they pass, they will get added to guard order"

Kai takes his hands back and takes his leave from the guest room following Jai behind him.

As Byro just stood there like a pillar with his left eyebrow twitching as he was thinking"this guy truly believes he can take on all of the forbidden forests all by himself with help of his friends.

Alfred and Michael who were still in the room did not say anything, today they got to see another side of Kai, different from casual, happy go lucky guy, this Kai got forceful manners of handling issues.

Today during entire discuss, he always maintains his confidence and calm behavior,

today he was the main character of the discussion, making all other side characters even Byro was forced to go with the flow of Kai.

Leaving the room Kai and Jai went their way as Kai returns to the castle roof while Jai returns to his workshop where he is working with Bolt and others to make various tools and equipment for their plans.
