Bab 11: Chapter 11: A message for you
The man sitting on the comfortable sofa was probably in his early 20s. He wore a black suit and had a blank face with no emotions at all. The fact that he was good-looking could not be hidden. The house was all silent so she figured that no one else was at home except for her and the workers.
"Hello, I am Yang Jiang. How may I help you?" she introduced herself first. In a gesture of respect, the man cleared his throat and then bowed his head. He then said, "I am Fe Ji Lin, and I am here to deliver a message for you, and I don't want to forget this box," reaching out to take the box from the small coffee table.
"My young sir requested you take this box and he apologized for not being able to communicate with you. Upon arriving from overseas, he got busy with business. I will take my leave now. "
I was so taken with his words that I stood there silently, trying to get the meaning of his words and wondering what could be in the small box. I forgot to ask who his master was and maybe how we knew each other. Wait, there is only one man. My goodness could it be him? Yes, it must be Wen Lin. How stupid of me not to have asked for more information or contact information. The one he gave her was unreachable.
Yang Jiang narrated the whole incident of how she came about meeting Wen Lin to her nanny. After talking with the nanny, she walked into her room curious to know what was in the box. She also reminded the nanny not to spill anything to her parents or anyone else.
After reaching her room, she placed the box on her bed. There was a piece of paper attached to the box stating that her birthday was the passcode to the box. Flashbacks of that night flashed through her mind, and she remembered that he asked about her birthday during their conversation, and she also remembered her asking about his. After entering the passcode, the box opened. Inside it lay a shimmering bracelet made of white pearls and diamonds. Yang Jiang had never seen anything like it. Did she also tell him she liked collecting bracelets?
Apart from the bracelet, there was an envelope and a white rose, her favourite. 'Oh my goodness, he knew exactly what I liked.' Quickly opened the envelope and inside found a note addressed to my dearest Jie. "I am sorry that I was unable to communicate with you due to unavoidable circumstances. You are the only woman I have ever come to like, love and care for.
'Did I read right? Did he write that I am the only girl he has liked and that he loves me? He loves me! Please tell me I'm not dreaming.'
