2 weeks later...
Dawn watched Ewan Green smile at Lisa Baxter, her blond hair styled in waves to shape her sweetheart face. Blue eyes gazed adoringly at the vampire prince's dark orbs.
Another one bites the dust, Dawn sighed to herself. Moving past the couple in the hallway, she made her way out of Snowfall High, the door swinging slowly shut behind her.
A breath of relief escaped her. It's been 2 weeks since she last spoke to Ewan and she knew time was running by too fast. Almost all the girls her age had already been fed on by him. She knew it was only a little time left before he caught her.
The perfume she sprayed on every morning was working but it was too much of a risk to just rely on it to be her only defense.
Suddenly, the sky above thundered and split to cascade a shower upon her. Cursing her breath, she ran all the way to the bus stop. Still cursing she shook off the raindrops on her clothes. There was nothing last night about rain.
"You're wet."
Dawn's heart jumped. Please God, why, she moaned inside. Speak of the vampire and he shall come. Ewan Green sat calmly on the bus stop bench, posed artfully with one leg crossed in front of another. His eyes mockingly laughed at her soaked clothes and bedraggled form.
Dawn coldly looked at him. Her eyes burning with inner rage. Just the sight of him made her burn up inside.
"What do you want Ewan?"
Shrugging in a playful manner, a smirk forming on his face, he innocently asked, "I thought maybe you would like a ride home. This kind of weather means the bus will be delayed. It might be hours until the bus comes to get you."
"I can wait." Trodding over to his side, Dawn plopped down next to him. A smile threatened to slip when she saw mud splatter onto his cheek.
Jumping away from Dawn at lightening speed, Ewan angrily wiped away the dirt. Insufferable human.
Lightening ripped across the sky and the rain before seemed to fall down even harder. The wind was also angrily picking up. Turning to Dawn, Ewan decided to give her one more chance. "The storm is coming. Aren't you afraid? Let me take you home. I promise, on my eternal soul's honor, no harm would come to you." Crossing his chest in a x, Ewan knew with his vow the human girl would agree.
Dawn watched his familiar motion of swearing his family vow and the smile on her face turned brittle.
In the past...

"I swear to you Dawn," Ewan clutched her hands in his strong ones, "that I would never do anything to harm you. Come with me to the Supernatural Arts Academy, there they can show you how to master your powers. There you can be even more powerful, powerful enough to stay by my side forever."
Tear slipped down Dawn's face, her body dressed in all black. Her mother had just died. She really had no one left anymore. But maybe, as Dawn looked at Ewan's gentle eyes, maybe she still had someone left.
Dawn nodded. "As long as you're with me, then ok."
His arms gently pulled her in to a hug. Therefore she didn't see the calculating look flash in his eyes and even if she had seen his face, her love and dependence on him had blinded her to the truth. That he was just using her.

"Are you coming or not?"
Dawn woke up from her past. His hands pulled out for her to take. All it took was one step in his direction...
Ewan waited for her ice cold expression to appear, or even her fury, but instead what he saw was something her had never seen before in any human's eyes.
Deep sorrow. Pain. Betrayal.
"I'm not going," she found herself whispering.
Ewan let his hand fall to his side.
"Why," he asked. He was truly complexed by this human girl. From the first moment he saw her, she had surprised him with an icy hot rage that shook his inner beast. He thought maybe that was her way of trying to catch his attention. Hot, cold, hot, cold. He's dealt with women like that before, playing hard to catch, and in the end he always won. But this girl didn't seem like she was playing anymore. It seemed like she really did not like him at all.
"You have no soul, Ewan Green."
Startled at her words, the vampire prince felt a jolt course through him. Her words pierced through him, echoing to the beast inside of him.
Suddenly he found himself directly in front of her, the rain making her hideous odor more potent. But his anger at her words flooded him.
"You are the ones with no soul. Humans themselves are beast of another kind, ripping and tearing apart one another for power, greed, land, money, and even for love. You are the ones with no soul, not us supernaturals."
Ewan watched the human girl's eyes turn to pity. "You don't understand what I'm saying." Dawn's voice continued on, her tone calm and measured despite the tense and dangerous atmosphere that now mimicked the approaching storm. "I'm saying that YOU have no soul. Not all supernaturals."
Ewan's hand whipped out and suddenly Dawn felt a huge pressure slam into her chest. Her body flew and hit the cold hard ground. Instantly her pants were soaked through. However she didn't feel the cold from the ground, because the ice that crept through her veins at that moment came from Ewan's feral body crouched over her like a beast ready to attack.
"YOU KNOW NOTHING, HUMAN GIRL!"
Dawn felt her heart running a mile in her chest, fear washing over her. But at the same time she knew she couldn't back down anymore. Too much has been weighing in her, especially towards him. Like a volcano, her words had been boiling inside of her and now it was about to erupt.
"You're a monster, Ewan Michale Green. From the moment you were born, you have killed millions without a shred of regret in your body. Nothing but sadistic joy flows in your veins as the blood flows out of their body to satisfy your gluttonous appetite. Anyone with a soul will have some shred of pity or regret for their sins, but you have none at all. Nor will you ever have any. You may be a prince, but your life is one of hell instead -"
"Shut up!" Ewan's loud shout stopped Dawn in midtrack.
The next moment Dawn felt a sharp burst of warmth and pain on her lips. Ewan hungrily kissed her like she was the air in his lungs.
He didn't know what possessed him, all he wanted was for this infuriating human to shut up! Her words, her disgusting odor, her beautiful eyes. All of it.....made him want to go mad. Made him want to possess her like the beast he is inside.
The next moment he knew, he was ravaging her lips and he didn't know if he could stop.
I am so sorry! I know it's been a week with no updates but my finals are coming up soon. So I haven't had the time to write up the next chapter. I'm glad I got to this part though, cause (*nose bleed) wasn't expecting for this to happen so early. But can't say I'm not satisfied with the current development b/w Ewan and Dawn.
Thanks for reading and see you soon!
