Her phone rang, breaking her trance.

"Hello.." Her voice shook filled with grief. The moment she realized this, she clutched her clothes, coughed and with spirit said, "Yes?"

She had to stabilize her emotions. 'Why dig the old wounds? I got bigger things to worry!' With determination, she held her upright.

"I got two news for you. One is good other is bad." After a pause, he said, "You can donate your liver to your grandma. You are the right match." His words were like warm sunlight breaking through the dark clouds. A burst of hope arose in her depressed heart.

"Thank God." She looked up and smiled in relief.

"But there is bad news." He hesitated, giving her a second to brace herself. "Her condition deteriorated faster than we imagined. She was shifted to the ICU as she was gasping. " His voice erased the smile on her face. So her face fell.
