Mr. Phyllis Wayne could not take off his mind from Jia. He could not argue against her accusations that it was so easy for him to break a home because he never had one. He knew she was right. He had a wife but the cause of her death was more of a broken heart than her hemolytic disorder. All her married life she was complaining why could he not spare a time with her? Why could he not go home for a birthday dinner for his kids? Why could he not spend Christmas or holidays with them?
In all the years that Jim had been in his training, his total calls to check on him could only be counted through the number of his fingers. He did not even know where he lived. He did not know his experiences. He did not know about her struggles nor his joys.
The total accumulation of his wealth would be enough to buy the world's most luxurious and most expensive possesions but never a happy home. He was all alone.
