Bab 2: Anurag Meets Prerna
St. Xavier's college experience a sudden rush of emotions evoking as it was the rose day and many girls were drooling over the one and only heartthrob of the college ,Anurag Basu. He was surrounded by girls on all sides and they were hovering over him in order to give him the roses.
Anurag was finding it literally difficult as more and more number of girls were joining and he could not see any way to escape.
His eyes fell on a girl who casually passed by him without even looking him at once. He was taken aback by this behavior of hers. All of them were crazy for him but this one royally ignored him as if he wasn't there. This hurt his 'male ego' thing .
The girl turned around and found that her duppatta ( her scarf) got hooked with some one's watch. She tried to free it but many girls were surrounding him and she was not able to unhook it.
Anurag saw that her scarf got hooked to his watch but he didn't care to help her. He smirked evilly and turned around.
As a result the girl's scarf tore and there was a sound...
Chrrrr!
Everyone standing there gawked at her and she felt so embarrassed .
Seeing the sensitivity and nervousness on her face Anurag decided to apologize to her but she left the place immediately uttering some words in her mouth... Probably she was cursing him.
He chuckled at her innocence. Had there been any other girl she would have been ogling over him but she wasn't of that type and that's what attracted him towards her.
He decided to follow her but the the girls were surrounding him... He took the bunch of roses in a hurry that it appears as if he snatched it from them.
But fate and destiny doesn't let it go so easily. He searched for her in every corner of the college but she was nowhere to be seen.
He went to attend his classes dejectedly.
At night he was lying on the couch adoring her face. Her hazel eyes, those chiselled cheeks and the strands of hair that kept lashing on her forehead. The way her lips moved when she cursed him and the way she shut her eyes in embarrassment. Every aspect of hers had the audacity to make him go crazy for her and that had left him craving for more of such expressions from her.
His trance was broken when his friend shouted his name bad he had to come out of his LA LA land half heartedly.
" What happened? What are you shouting? "
" You were not responding to my calls so I had to shout on you. "
" So - sorry"
" By the way where were you?"
" What! "
" I mean in whose thought you were drenched? "
" It's - it's nothing like that. " , Anurag stammered badly and had a tough time to hide his smile and blush.
" Ohooo.. Blushing.. By the way.. I didn't tell anything like this or that. It was you who thought.. So there is definitely something like this or that"
" Anno--" ,he mother called him.
Hush! I am saved thanks mom.
" Don't think that you are saved. You have to answer me.. And if you are not going to answer me then believe me I am going to find it out and the way I'll use to find won't be desirable by you"
Anurag gaped at him and then quickly marched out of the room when he heard the second call from his mother.
" What were you doing Anno? "
Anurag glared his friend, Raghav.
His mother follwed his gaze and smacked Raghav's arm.
" Why were you troubling my son? "
" Because Aunty.. There is something something "
" What thing? "
" Something something. "
" Are... What something something?"
" Your Anno is smitten by someone. "
His mom's eyes snapped in his direction.
He got panicked and said," It's nothing like that mom" and marched upstairs and locked him so in his room.
Downstairs his mom and his friend, Raghav burst out laughing.
" See.. Aunty.. I told you na. "
" Hmm... Who is that girl? "
" I don't know. He was wondering about her when I caught him. "
" Carzy people.. Acha find that girl and don't tease him more.. He's tomato red now only" ,said Anurag's mom. She smiled and went into her room.
Anurag slept while hugging the cushions and a beautiful smile on his lips.
As usual his mother peeked into his room at night and chuckled seeing her son smiling in sleep.
She caressed his face and smiled.
" I'll get her for you, my son."
