Because Qiao Lian did not have her own apartment in Beijing, she checked into a hotel the night before the wedding.

Since she had no relatives, Xia Nuannuan and Shi Nianyao accompanied her at the hotel.

As Qiao Lian was pregnant and Xia Nuannuan wasn't in the best of health, Shi Nianyao seemed to be the only person with a boundless reserve of energy. But still she was powerless against the incessant yawning of the other two girls, so she went to bed at 11 p.m. the night before.

Early next morning, the three of them were woken up by the sound of someone knocking on the door.

Shi Nianyao rolled over and buried her face in the blanket. She grumpily went back to sleep.

Qiao Lian opened her eyes and looked around her, but her view was blurry.

Seeing how these two were, Xia Nuannuan sighed and got up to open the door.
