Lu Zhaoyang was relieved to hear his reply. She tip-toed her way downstairs and missed the gentle look that her husband threw her way.

She nodded, and then shook her head with a heavy heart. "He's not doing so well. I don't know what he is busy with these days, he even spends the night in the study. I've woken up a few times late at night to find him still awake."
