Bab 157: Apprehension

He bends his knees right next to her while he raised his hand, and he gently swayed Yu Yan's hair that is covering her adorable sleeping face.

Scrutinizing her features, while he strokes her hair like a sleeping pet, there was a feeling of peace in his heart whenever he looks at her.

"No matter what happens, I will always stay by your side... I will do what I can to help you remove the seals..." Zhiyuan mumbles.

A sweet smile reflected on Zhiyuan's lips, while he gently took Yu Yan's hand and bent over kiss the back of her palm.

Zhiyuan placed her hand on his cheeks, trying to feel her warm palm on his face while staring at her with tenderness on his eyes.

"I might have failed to protect her... But I will never let that happen to you..." He mumbled.

Afterwards, Zhiyuan woke her up and just like what he promised, he brought Yu Yan back at the Jade Garden before sunrise.
