Bab 95: Group Picnic
My first destination was Gray's house since his was the closest to the guild and then Elfman's house. Natsu lived on the outskirts of the town with Happy so he would be last. As I had expected both Gray and Elfman were surprised to see my limbs back and no signs of any other wounds on me after clearing away any sleepiness they had but they quickly recovered from the shock. As for Natsu's reaction, well…
"Fight me!" Was what he shouted after I completely woke him up and he saw me at 100% condition. I was already expecting such a reaction so I dealt with it like normal when it comes to those who gets challenged by Natsu in the guild. I punched him through the wall with one hit. Aah, it feels good to stretch my body around and lay some smack down on someone again.
"Alright, alright, let's get going already. Unlike you three lazy asses, the others are probably already awake and at the training grounds by now. We can't have them waiting for too long now can we. And since I have fully recovered, your training will include a bit of sparing with me. no magic allowed though." After Happy recovered Natsu from the hole in the wall, I led them towards the training grounds where as I had said the other members of the guild who decided to train was already there and some were even warming up on their own using the methods I gave them.
After having them warm up and complete their workouts, I went around and spared with everyone individually without using magic since they needed to know how to really fight if they end up in a situation that doesn't allow them the use of magic. The result? A good old ass whooping. They didn't stand a chance and I didn't hold back on beating them up. Of course I did tell them the mistakes they were making and made sure they corrected them but apart from that this was really a good way to relieve the stress I had accumulated by sitting around too much.
After spending the entire morning training these guys, we went back to the guild where the girls and Makarov and the remaining members who decided to take a break were having lunch and sharing talks between them. When we entered the guild, their main reaction was to see me full bodied again but after they congratulated me for recovering, they went back to their own business.
"I will allow you to do whatever you want with me later. For now, how about we go on a group picnic with just us." After making my way towards the girls, I spoke up before them and suggested going on a picnic to spend some time. I will admit that I was avoiding the scolding. But that was only because I didn't want to get scolded in front of the whole guild.
"Fine. We needed some fresh air anyway." Lisanna was the one who spoke up for the girls who only smiled knowingly. They had probably already realized what I was doing but didn't say anything regard it to save myself some face at least.
"I'll get the food and beverages ready." Mira stood up and went behind the bar counter as she said so and I could only guess how much we would need since we have both an alcoholic in Cana and a glutton in Erza with us.
"Let me help. Levy, you should come too, I'm sure your magic could be of use. As for you, stay away from using magic for now." Anna also stood up and turned to me to tell me off after she had called out for Levy.
Seeing this scene, I suddenly remembered what I had done both before and after I went 400 years in the past. Ah, shit. Maybe I should just give up and be beta? It would make it easier on my heart. No, no, no, why should I give up? That's right, I will fight till the end. For the sake of my dream, I shall fight.
"Why do I feel like punching you in the face right now?" I was broken out of my thoughts by Erza as she asked in a skeptical voice as she was unsure of what she was feeling at the moment. But that really scared the shit out of me since I thought she might have found out what I was thinking about.
"I feel the same way, Erza-nee. Are you thinking of something that you should be telling us, Ray?" Lisanna pipped in from the side as I unconsciously shivered. To be honest, I was scared of Lisanna the most because she has always had the most terrifying of perception. In fact, it's so terrifying that I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to gain insights on laws on her first try.
"I don't know what you are talking about." I spoke in a calm voice that wouldn't have given away anything if it weren't for the fact that it sounded a bit mechanical. Erza, Lisanna and Cana was the only three here right now and they were staring holes into me after hearing what I had said.
"Alright, we'll let it go for now. But don't think we are stupid enough to not notice that you are hiding something." Lisanna was the one who spoke this just as I had expected. And all I did was nod my head without replying. I would definitely tell all of them before the specific event happens. I absolutely have to tell them.
After this little even, we left the guild after the other three came back from getting everything we needed for the picnic and arrived at the cliff that me and Mira used for our date. Of course we didn't mention it was the same place to the rest.
The rest of the day was spent fooling around with each other as we ate, talked and played a few games. And I being the sexually deprived bastard that I am, got a bit handsy on them here and there but that was all in that regard. I am not stupid enough to believe they will allow me to go all the way with any of them until I got the scolding that was coming.
And sure enough, a level 6 hurricane arrived after we finished the picnic. They had me kneeling on the ground and surrounded me from all sides. Then they went on to give me an earful one by one to make sure that I knew what they were telling me. what they didn't know though was that, I had used my new understanding in regards to the law of space to lower the volume just enough to sound them out.
I did pay attention to certain words like 'understand?' or 'right?' which I would nod to, to let it seem like I was hearing them. yeah, I will never let them know about this. I was made to kneel and listen to them for three whole hours. It was already night time when they finished and so we retired for the night. I finally went back to Tenrou Island, to my house that I shared with Anna and now Mira. I had already sent a message to Makarov to say that our fight will be tomorrow so as to let him prepare himself. All we had to do was sneak away from the guild when the time comes.
