While on top of a windshear beast, Leonard was currently looking at a legion of undead through his advance techno spyglass looking device that he had bought while he and Sachi were still in the Crossroad of Worlds.
"Oh damn, that is quite a lot of undead, must take some effort in creating all of them- and hey! Look like I found their commander!" Leonard turned his attention to the dark robed figures leading the legion of undying being.
"So that's their Necromancer hmmm...his power...he must be really strong to pull off a legion of ten thousand, judging by his clothes and ornaments- he could hold an important position in the Republic, Shadow Council thing…" he commented when he saw how well off the old man is, judging by his robe and the staff he carried, also the number of apprentices following him.
It was then that the old man turned his eyes and glared at Leonard directly through his spyglass.
"Shit! How can he spot me from that distances?!" he freaked out for a moment after the Necromancer glared at him, the reason why he was so nervous was because there is no way in hell anyone could possibly discover him when he's at least a few kilometer away from them- and he did not use any magic! The only thing he used to spy on them was a piece of technology!
"Well well...isn't this a great surprise...maybe he used magic to discover my location? Or was it instinct?...either way, that old bag of bone need to die quickly once the battle started." he put away his spy into his inventory and quickly head back to the Evergreen army.

Leading the undead legion, the old Necromancer was bored, the journey thus far was uneventful to say the least, they had not discovered anyone spying on them, or stopping them yet.
The old Necromancer couldn't help but yawned lightly- it was then that his magic detected something, something powerful just a few kilometers away from the undead army.
It quickly jolted him to his alert mode and look directly at the direction where his magic picked up that powerful being.
"Teacher?" the apprentice who saw the old man turned from absolute boredom to serious high alert mode, called out for him.
"Hmmm...seems like someone is spying on us, but unfortunately he or she left." the old Necromancer muttered softly.
"You detected someone, teacher?" the young apprentice asked curiously.
"Uhm… indeed, I found someone…" the old man replied.
"Who is that person?" the young apprentice continued to ask, in order to sate his curiosity.
"His or her identity, that I do not know, however judging by how my magic detection spell could discover him or her from that distant, I could say that he or she must be a powerful mage, albeit- lack some control over the magic as the magical surge itself was , violent and chaotic…" the old Necromancer rubbed his chin a bit as he tries to figure out the identity of the person who caught his attention.
"Maybe that person is just an apprentice, just like us, teacher." another apprentice that had followed the army chimed in.
"You might be right, that person might be an apprentice, maybe the apprentice of that Necromancer who stationed in the Evergreen kingdom, judging by how violent, chaotic and dark that surge of power was, that's my hypothesis." the old man nodded.
"Maybe after I killed that Necromancer, Pater Tuus was it? I should take in that apprentice for myself...that's some diamond in the rough right there… potential to be a rank eight just like I am, or perhaps even surpassed the current me and stepped into the realm of legend!" he continued.
Immediately upon hearing their teacher spoke of taking in another apprentice, the group of disciple and apprentice that followed the old Necromancer began to felt threatened and anxious.
If the old man were to take in another disciple, it would increase their competition and lessen their inheritance and resources dedicated to them.
"But teacher! That person is the student of our enemy, and the state!" one apprentice protested at the old man decision, trying to persuade him.
"Hmmm, we will see...but it is such a shame if I couldn't get my hand on such a beautiful gem." the old man muttered as he looked toward the direction where he detected the presence of Leonard.

Leonard finally arrived back to the border town, he quickly headed into the town hall to quickly informing the other about his discovery.
"You did what this time?!" when he arrived to inform the important people who's going to make the decision for the army, Vandal included- his reaction was definitely not amusing.
"I somewhat did some scouting and discover the presence of the invading army from the Republic." Leonard repeated his previous answer.
Immediately upon hearing Leonard confirming his finding, the people went into an uproar.
"How did they crossed over so quickly?! It should normally take an army half a month to crossed at least- and so far it's only been a week!" an official shouted out anxiously.
"Of course, what did you expect from a country that make use of Necromancers and other dark mages? You should have expected that one." Leonard shrugged as he replied back.
"Do you know of their number?" his father, Erik asked while maintaining a stoic expression.
"I could say it was at least twice the number that you once led into the Rosen to raise some hell." Leonard answered.
"T-that's almost as much as the total invasion force of the Rosen and the Church combine?!" Vandal jumped after finding out the total number of the enemy.
"I also have more bad news, apparently it was led by a powerful Necromancer as well, I say that old man was strong… my guess is he's probably around rank eight peaks, just a step before rank nine." Leonard quickly retold the account of what happened to him when he was spying on the enemy from afar, the Necromancer managed to use his magic and discover his own location from kilometer away.
"This is serious, we need to quickly speed up our mobilization, like now! Or else it will be too late." an official announced his suggestion for all to hear.
"Yes, we should do that immediately, but dealing with the undead is going to be a pain, especially without the use of light magic, is this where we should be regretting the fact that he almost destroyed the church a while back?" Leonard scratched his head while smiled awkwardly.
"It does not matter, we can use the magician corp and burn the undead down using fire." the duke suggested.
"I agree with his grace, we should limit our troop exposure to the undead as much as possible while we're fighting a Necromancer- as the last thing we want is our knights dying and turned into the undead and turned their blade against us." a man in armor nodded while gave his suggestion out.
"Then I will quickly give the order for our troops to quickly gather and block their army advanced while we're waiting for the magician corp." Vandal quickly stood up and head out.
With Vandal leaving, all the other officials also left as well, leaving only Leonard and Erik in the meeting hall.
"We're going to need your expertise on this one, are you afraid of exposing your identity as a dark mage, my son?" Erik asked him.
"Of course not... I honestly could not care for it any less, back then- it might be a problem, but as of right now...let them come." he grinned.
