From that time that Noah set himself on fire, the entire place shot up in blue light. Their night-vision goggles blinded them momentarily, but that was enough for them to flinch and die from the claws. Almost everyone died in the first few seconds of Noah rampaging like a firefly.

Crook remembered trying to hold his severed hand against his torn arm in hopes of keeping it from dying. He didn't know if that was effective, but he didn't want to bleed to death. That was a very pathetic end. However, Pierrot actually grabbed his torn arm and pushed it to the blue flame.
