Bab 43: Pleasant Surprise
It was now evening.
Alvin was sitting cross-legged on a bed studying the room which he rented closely. This room was located in one of the most prestigious 5 star hotels in Dark Bliss City and costs him 1,500 per night.
Initially, he had wanted to go for a less expensive place but after further investigation during the afternoon, he discovered that because of how chaotic Dark Bliss City is, it is very difficult to find a place which is completely safe.
Only a few hotels that are run by the top mafia organizations are relatively safe because of the prestige these organizations carry. This hotel in particular is run by the Dark Widow Mercenary Group, one of the three strongest organizations in Dark Bliss City.
Even though this group carries the name of a mercenary organization, it is actually a huge Assassin organization with branches in almost all Hope Cities in Salvation Continent. The main reason he chose this place was because it was the safest accommodation he could find that would ensure his safety when he logs into the One Piece World.
When he rented this room, he first had a shower and ordered an expensive dinner before preparing to enter the One Piece World. Now the time was 6:15 PM and the One Piece World had been online for about fifteen minutes so he was in a hurry to log on. Unzipping his backpack, he took out his VR helmet and switched it on. Immediately after that, there was a bright light in front of him and he blanked out.

When Alvin woke up again, he was sitting cross-legged on his bed in his apartment at Shadd's Hull Components Shop. Before he could further investigate his current status, he was assaulted with a series of system prompts!

Before he could even reorganize his thoughts, a series of experience points rushed into him causing his Level to increase instantly to Level 6. Before he left this world, he was only left with 15 EXP points to level up so he wasn't surprised he leveled up after so many experience points rushed in.
What really surprise him was that the feedback experience points from Byakko's hunts were stacked up during his absence from this world and were rewarded to him after he came back. "It seems Byakko had been very busy over these few days."
He immediately sensed Byakko's position through his Contract Beast Symbol in his mind and summoned him. Waiting for Byakko to come, he distributed 1 free attribute points to Strength, 2 points to Agility and 1 point to Vitality. He immediately opened his attribute panel:

Alvin's eyes opened with shock the moment his eyes landed on his 70 points of Fate energy points.
"How did I get so many points so suddenly?"
Over the past few days that he had been here, he had tried so many ways to get fate points but it proved useless. Now he had suddenly gotten an increase of 70 points out of nowhere. Alvin frowned and began to recall what he might have done over the past day which could have increased his Fate Energy points. After thinking critically, he realized that the only thing of not that he had done was to kill those Enhancers in reality.
"Does killing people in reality increase fate Energy?" he remembered he had killed 6 [Consolidation Stage] Enhancers and now, his Fate Energy had increased by 60 points. This couldn't be just a coincidence. It would make sense that killing an Enhancer granted him with 10 points.
But what bothered him now was that he couldn't think of a way to utilize these fate points and what he could use them for. At this time, a white cat suddenly jumped from the window and before Alvin could even react, it suddenly crashed into his embrace.
"Bang!!!!" The force contained in this almost sent him crashing from his bed onto the floor.
"What!!" Alvin was momentarily stunned and was preparing to take action when he realized it was Byakko. He smiled and started stroking the head of the cat that was now in his embrace.
He opened his attribute panel and immediately looked at the progress of Byakko's Bloodline Advancement:

Alvin thought after seeing Byakko's progress. After thinking for a while, he smiled and said to Byakko, "He he, remember the surprise I promised u before leaving the last time?"
"Roar...!" Even in its small form, Byakko's roar was as majestic as ever. It looked at Alvin in expectation. With a thought, Alvin turned his palm and a strange mushroom appeared in his hands. It was the Blood Patterned Mushroom that he had gotten in the forest earlier.
He had initially planned to prepare and consume it today but upon looking at Byakko's current progress, he realized it would benefit him more if Byakko ate it so he decided to give it to him.
The moment the Blood Patterned Mushroom appeared in the room, its unique aroma spread throughout his room. Byakko's eye's shone brightly and began to roar with excitement when it saw the Mushroom.
From the white tiger's intense desire and expectations expressed after seeing this mushroom, Alvin realized that he might have underestimated this mushroom's importance to Byakko.
Alvin immediately threw the mushroom to Byakko and it also immediately jumped out of his embrace and swallowed it whole. It immediately withdrew in the corner to digest the effects of the strange mushroom.
After looking at Byakko for a couple of seconds, Alvin climbed out of bed and began to prepare for his busy day. Today was the day that he would be officially starting his apprenticeship at Isshin Dojo. He had a thirty minute light workout in his room before getting up to have a light shower. He then changed into the dojo apparel.
By the time he was finished with his preparation, Byakko had also completed the absorption of the Blood Patterned Mushroom. Looking at its current energetic demeanor despite being in its shrunken form, Alvin knew that it had benefited greatly.
He looked at Byakko's attribute panel and was shocked to see that its bloodline evolution had surprisingly increased by almost twenty points reaching 45/100!
All these hunting only gave it 25 points but just one Blood Patterned Mushroom gave it 20 points. Alvin realized at this point that he might have misjudged the rue function of this mushroom.
He now became determined to try and venture into the forest to see whether he could find more Heaven and earth treasures that could boost Byakko's Bloodline awakening degree when he had time.

He then descended the stairs and greeted Shadd before leaving the workshop heading for Isshin Dojo!
