Night Light glanced at Princess Yan Ling and told the chief steward, "Go fetch Yuanhe!"

The chief steward wanted to say something but hesitated.

Night Light said angrily, "What are you waiting for?!"

Only then did the chief steward go in and whisper something in his ear.

Night Light asked, "What? He's dead?"

The chief steward nodded. "He was sitting at his desk and was ambushed from behind."

Night Light turned around and stared at Princess Yan Ling.

Princess Yan Ling frowned. "Why are you staring at me?"

Night Light rose to his feet and quickly headed for Yuanne's courtyard.

Yuanhe was the second prince's most capable guard and most trusted strategist. How could the second prince not be worried when he was assassinated?

"Stop right there!" Princess Yan Ling bellowed, but Night Light wouldn't stop, so she had to follow him.

Night Light rushed into the room to find Yuanhe lying dead on the table.
