Feng Xun snorted. "We wouldn't have come here if we hadn't felt sorry for you. We knew that you would be so lonely."

Feng Wu said, "But I'm not lonely at all."

Feng Xun said, "Of course you're lonely. All the influential figures of the imperial capital are at the Zuo residence, and you're all on your own. If we hadn't come here, your place would look abandoned!"

Feng Xun took a bite of the fish as he teased Feng Wu.

This whole time, Feng Wu could feel a pair of eyes on her.

She felt her cheeks heat up.

But she didn't look back and pretended that she couldn't feel it.

For some unknown reason, the more intense the gaze, the longer she spoke to Feng Xun.

She said, "Why do I get the feeling that you're here for my food instead of me?"

Feng Xun chuckled, awkwardly. "It's the same thing. It's the same thing."

Soon, the ten dishes were eaten up, and there was only some gravy left on the plates.
