If the town was breached, no one here would survive the day!

Because of the earthquake, more than half the houses in Wanping Town had collapsed. Fortunately, most of the villagers had run out in time and only some of them had been buried under the ruins.

The people of Wanping Town were used to such situations. The young and the strong were sent to the gate tower to help with defense, and the middle-aged men began to dig for those buried under the collapsed houses, while the women and children took care of the wounded.

All the sick and wounded were taken to a spacious makeshift army tent.

Jiang Yuan was a mid-level medicine refiner and a medical officer who had been stationed in Wanping Town for a while. Right now, as he led a team of junior medicine refiners, he was busy saving lives.

He looked pained as he watched all the wounded being taken out of the ruins.
