Bab 269: Dragon’s Scale (XII)

"Behind us."

Xiao Mao and Hui Lan both flung into the air one after the other. 

Hui Lan looked back down at the spot where they were standing.  Her heart skipped a beat when she finally saw who was behind the unfamiliar voice.

It was a creature with large horns on its head and emerald green scales covering its entire body. The creature roared furiously as it gulped down nothing else but air. 

...This?

She had only heard of such creatures from legends. Back where she came from, she used to teach about this legendary creature, but never in a million years did she think that she would be able to see one.

Hui Lan was thrilled yet nervous at the same time.

…It was a dragon. The first dragon she had ever seen with her two eyes.

The large dragon fumed out large smoke from its nostrils before turning its orange eyes towards Hui Lan and Xiao Mao.
