Bab 2: Chapter 2 Shopping
Marconi and His parents have just arrived 10 minutes before the office supply store opens. Currently it seems the back-to-school discount starts today and a large mob of parents and students are crowded around the entrance.
"Ok mom, let's go. We're not getting inside", Marconi looks around and realizes his parents aren't there.
"Mom, Dad?", he sees his mom in the crowd shoving toward the front. Then he hears an engine running and he hears the tires skid as it leaves the parking lot. 3 seconds later Marconi receives a text, "I uhhh… have a business meeting, gotta run. Your mother has the cash to buy supplies. Take care of her and call me when you're done. Thanks, champ - Dad".
"Just great", the store opens and the poor employee gets trucked and is carried along with the crowd.
He sees three interesting students, this weird Indian chick is sliding on what seems to be a skateboard taking out people's kneecaps. It's extremely effective and she zooms for the three hole punch paper, paper clips, pencils, and miscellaneous section.
Hanging behind the mob is a kid with thick glasses, he has a remote control in his hands and looking up, Marconi sees a drone zipping around the store. His parents are quietly waiting with a shopping cart and he's sitting inside it. He's interested in the school appliances, technology and laptops.
The third kid, a a large chubby girl, is blocking up the aisle and she's slowly headed, or more accurately rolling toward the study manuals and notebook section.
In the last aisle, his mom is leading the pack with an embarrassing and feminine yell and she's headed toward the bargain bins where it's 50% off.
Marconi is surprisingly rational for his age and starts videotaping it to post on social media. He's thinking of calling it the nerd battle royale, when suddenly a whole troop of black bodyguards start surrounding the store.
"Why did I agree to go shopping?", asked Marconi. A helicopter lands in the parking lot. (Hey it's my web novel, if you don't like it write your own).
Out pops out a fellow asian guy in a red-bowtie with a blue suit wearing suspenders. He seems to either be famous or rich, either way this store is getting extremely lively.
On the other side, Marconi sees a gelato shop serving his medium fudge sundae deluxe. There also seems to be five kids on bikes holding some weird toys. The leader seems to be a bald kid with black sunglasses, and he has four friends with him.
Marconi is headed across the street to see if he can take the ice cream from the kids, because he's a big fifth grader about to enter middle school. The kids are pee-wee's who look like they about to enter fifth grade. However they got these preppy uniforms that look quite familiar, but Marconi's only thinking about his ice-cream.
