Dawn passed by without any problem for both Hallel and Mays. As someone who was sensitive, Mays woke up right away when he heard the rooster crowed. Mays was quite surprised since he never expected something like a rooster in this world, in demon continent even.
He didn't go and look for the rooster to confirm whether it was a real rooster or a monsters which had the same habit as a rooster though. He was in no mood to do so because Drasca just appeared in his consciousness telling him about a group of people who were fast approaching.
"Wake up, its morning."
"…"
Mays tapped Hallel's shoulder lightly to wake her up. Obviously, Hallel would not wake up from such gentle move. Mays tried to wake her up like that every day but it never worked.
"Splash!"
"Enemy attack?"
"It's me idiot. Wake up already."
Startled by the sudden downpour, Hallel jumped off her bed as she grabbed her great sword right away. She then sighed when she realized that it was just Mays who used a different method to wake her up.
"What's the rush? It's still goddamn early."
Hallel grumbled when she noticed that it was too early for her to wake up. Usually Mays waited until the sun shone brightly before waking her up. It was barely dawn yet Mays forcefully used a bucket of water to wake her up.
"Can't be helped. Something is coming."
"Your sixth sense again? Is that a cheat or what?"
"Haha."
Toward the nonstop grumbling Hallel, Mays laughed it off without retorting. The question asked by her would be endless if he answered them honestly. Mays who was close enough to the door immediately walked out from their room. Hallel followed soon after without complaining.
Passing through the inn's register, Mays who saw a basket full of sandwich neatly packed inside it grabbed two of them before putting several copper coins on top of the table. It was somewhat a miracle that both demon continent and human continent used the same currency.
"Hallel, catch."
"Oo… ah!"
Despite the sudden throw from Mays, Hallel with her excellent reflect easily grabbed the sandwich pack mid-air. She didn't say anything else as she opened the wrapper and immediately ate the sandwich. The two of them didn't stop as they walked out of the inn with Mays in the lead.
"So, how long should we wait?"
Hallel asked.
Currently the two of them were seated at the side of the city plaza. They sat there for five minutes already but nothing seemed to be coming at them. Mays wall fully geared with his signature crimson armors and cape. He was missing his crimson swords though. He substituted them with a different legendary tier sword for now.
"Just a few more minutes."
"You sure?"
This time Hallel threw Mays a skeptical look. She was quite irritated after being deprived of her sleep time and dragged for a morning walk just to wait for something which might not appear.
"Nah, I'm wrong. They have arrived."
Mays's gaze was fixed at a certain area of the sky above them. A few black dots became clearer as time passed. They were dragons. Two large, identical black dragon, the Black Void Dragon. Following not too far behind those two were a dozen of flood dragons with hundreds of players and their spirits on top.
"Whoa… What a grand sight."
"Indeed it is."
Hallel couldn't hide her amazement upon witnessing that grand entrance. This was the second time she saw something like this after the Great War. Mays on the other hand was still indifferent to it. He could display this kind of dragon's parade by himself if he wanted. He even started to feel bad for Hallel for being the only hidden class players who had no dragon mounts.
--------------------------------------------------
A total of thirteen flood dragons together with two Black Void Dragon were currently hovering on top of the town. There were also three large Silver Wind Dragon in the group of dragons. Both black dragons were Stan's and Whacko's respectively while those other dragons were shared by their guild members to come here at this nameless town at the border of Stoness Dukedom.
All the resident of that nameless town were too scared to go out from their house at the moment. The existence of those dragons were way too domineering for them. Not to mention that the army of hundreds of human and spirits which were gathered at the city plaza at the moment were also frightening.
Both Mays and Hallel was surrounded by the people from DarkMonarch. Standing still in front of Mays was Stan, sizing him up as the latter also did the same thing. Hallel who stood by Mays's side started sweating before she knew it.
This was the first time she had been in this kind of disadvantageous situation. These five years, she had been surrounded by hundreds and thousands of enemies but not even once had she felt this pressured.
All the people present here were cream of the crops of HeavensTale, players with legendary tier gears. Every single one of them could easily kill hundreds of weak warriors from any dukedoms in demon continent for sure.
"So you really come, Mays."
"Hehe of course. How can someone like me ignore this brand new exciting adventure?"
"Exciting adventure? Heh I love your wording. Pleasing to my ears all right."
"Heheh I know right."
Mays chuckled as he replied. Even when the conversation between the two sounds peaceful, the tension was beyond words. The only people who maintained their normal state of minds was only Mays and Stan. The others had been sweating profusely ever since they arrived at the plaza.
"Enough pleasantries. What is your reason in baiting me to come here?"
"Sharp as always. I know that the zombie's death is the perfect bait. I'm just here to talk."
Not only the eyes of DarkMonarch's members were fixed at Mays, even Hallel's gaze was now fixed at him. She didn't even know that her action of killing the zombie on impulse yesterday was part of Mays's scheme to notify the DarkMonarch.
"Ouch!"
A fist landed on the back of Mays head.
"What are you doing, idiot?"
"Shut up jerk! You used me without even telling me. How despicable!"
Hallel was quite mad at the moment. She was not very bright but she hated the fact that she was used without knowing.
"Haha my bad. But you don't feel like being used right? Nothing wrong with it then."
"Everything is wrong jerk. Just the fact that you used me is irritating enough. I feel like beating you to death right now!"
Punching Mays's back nonstop, Hallel was still mad. At the very least, Mays right now had his real strength unlike before. A mere casual punch wouldn't hurt him at all.
"Enough!"
Only after Stan shouted that Hallel stopped her childish action. Stan came to this nameless city not to witness this kind of lame drama. His goal was one, Mays and Mays alone. Both Mays and Hallel stared at him after he shouted.
"What do you want to talk about?"
Without beating around the bush, Stan asked right away. He was always direct to the point in whatever he did.
"What else? The truth of this world of course. You have been stranded here for years and without doubt someone like you most likely have all the clues already."
"And why do you think I will tell you about them?"
"Because I can ascertain them? You know that a proper discussion won't hurt right?"
Mays smirked as he replied. He was without doubt asking for the impossible. There was no way for Stan to give up all his findings to him just like that. That guy had been gathering all the information painstakingly for five years and Mays who came out of nowhere just asked it for free. No sane people would agree to that selfish request.
"Why would I do that?"
This time, Stan's voice was still calm as before. He knew Mays well enough to the point that Mays's proposition from before was still not fully defined. Mays conveyed the disadvantages part only to see how he would react. Instead of getting mad, Stan calmly asked Mays for the other part.
"Maaaaaan, you're too sharp. That's no fun. Obviously there is a catch to it. I'll also share all the findings I have gathered together with the data collected by The Alliance. Is that delicious enough for you?"
"That's not a bad deal indeed. But! I can also extract those information from you after we captured you here right?"
With an evil grin on his face, Stan stared dagger at Mays who stood in front of him. The other member of DarkMonarch tighten their grip on their weapon, in case of a sudden fight broke out. Hallel unintentionally grabbed Mays's cape after she noticed how the crowd had been reacting.
"True, I might not be able to secure an escape path against all of you."
Hallel's face turned pale when she heard what Mays just said.
"But killing at least a quarter of you people was still within my power!"
At the same time as he blurted his line, Mays let out his own killing intent. His tone was obviously low since he had no intention to shout but surprisingly it was loud enough for everyone present to hear it. The killing intent he released was so intense that almost everyone in the plaza back out several steps due to fear.
"…"
Absolute, utter silence. Only the sound of breathing and heartbeats could be heard after Mays uttered his threatening words. Even Stan himself started sweating after the killing intent passed by him. That very moment he acknowledged the fact that Mays was a tiger in human skin without a doubt. Even in the underground world he was notorious with, someone with intense killing intent like Mays was rare.
The crowd of DarkMonarch shivered in fear as they observed Mays. They had been no match for Mays even back in the game. With just Mays and Ria, the two of them turned the whole DarkMonarch upside down. Now that it turned into a real world with their life on the line, there was no way in hell they would threw their life away by fighting this living disaster.
"Hahahahhahahahahahhaha. Daring indeed! You liven up to your name for sure. I'm just testing you earlier, no need to be so tense."
Stan mustered up his courage as he replied to Mays, trying to break the awkward silent. His intention was only to test Mays but he never expected this outcome. Mays was extremely exceptional in game but upon meeting face to face, he realized that he was actually way more domineering in person.
"That so? Hahaha. Sorry I mistook your intention earlier. I don't mind taking you people head on though."
Now that the tension had been broken, Mays had no need to pour out his killing intent any longer. He replied to Stan nonchalantly as he put back his swords in their sheath. Almost everyone in DarkMonarch let out a relieved sigh soon after.

Holy Cloud Continent, The Alliance's Headquarters
Once again, inside the royal palace which was now the headquarters of The Alliance, an important meeting was being held by the top brass of The Alliance. San was the one who initiated this emergency meeting.
"With that said, I will be going to demon continent with the elites of my guild."
San ended his speech with a grim looking face. He was determined on going even if the others were not planning to let him go. Behind him was unexpectedly Ebb and Zai, his best friends and also his close aids.
"This is reckless. How do you plan on searching for him?"
King Edward was rational. He talked after weighing the pro and cons of the action taken. He knew that it was near impossible to look for a lost human inside a huge continent.
"I'll just conquer the whole continent till he show up then."
That simple yet intimidating answer left everyone inside the meeting room speechless. They knew that San was a muscle head who talks with his fist. Five years ago, he had no reason to force his way through with his life at stake.
"This is no small matter San! Have you think this through?"
It was unexpected that even Rose lose her mind when San said so.
"Let him go. It will be great if they can find a way back to our world there."
As always, Leet reacted to San sarcastically.
"You won't change your mind, San?"
"Not happening."
"Even if it might cost you your life?"
After Jace's question, Rose once again asked a question with a worried face. This time, San walked toward her and held her trembling shoulder before he started talking.
"Sorry, Rose. My brother is just someone I can't abandon. I will totally do the same thing if you are in the same situation."
San even hugged Rose as he explained. From just that scene, it was confirmed that the relationship between those two were not just normal friend. They were clearly more than friends. Even Jace was shocked because San never told him about them being in a relationship.
These two had concealed their relationship quite well. They barely even talked to each other every time they were holding a meeting.
"But…"
Rose tried to stop San but obviously she had no legit reason to prevent him from going.
"No buts. This time, I'm totally serious. And, waiting here won't do us any good either."
There was nothing holding him back now. If Mays had died on his attempt, this matter would have not become this problematic. San wouldn't have any reason to go there if he knew that he would just die trying. But now, everything was different.
Mays had pioneered the near impossible mission which was getting a foothold on demon continent and he unexpectedly succeeded. The fact that Mays was still alive and their firm control on the gateway was enough pushing force for San to act himself. There was no way in hell he would just abandon his blood related brother.
"It's true that waiting here won't get us anywhere. In that case, I will gather the elites of my guild to go with you."
"Ehh, Jace?"
"What? Isn't it normal to help when someone is in trouble? He is the brother of my good friend even."
It was quite unexpected that Jace offered his help on this. Both Leet and King Edward was quite shocked. They never thought Jace was that bold. Even if he was eager to help, he normally wouldn't say so until he consulted his trusted aids first.
"In that case, I want to go to!"
This time, it was Rose who voiced out her opinion. Since Jace had offered his aid, she who was closer to San should also do so. She was hesitant all these time out of consideration for her guild. If not, she would agree to San right away.
"That's better. Let's commence a crusade and kill those demon kin while we are at it."
San replied with a smile on his face. He never thought that both Jace and Rose would support his decision. From just a simple rescue mission, their meeting escalated into a large scale crusade plan involving more than half of The Alliance's top brass.
"Stop this nonsense! What will happen to The Alliance if you guys suddenly go to the demon continent? Who will control all those smaller guild who was affiliated with us? What will happen if the demon attacks during the time you people are away?"
Leet was totally against this. He never had a good relationship with both Mays and Ria to begin with. It was okay if San and his guild left by themselves since they were not the true backbone of the alliance. They didnt have the number. Both Jace and Rose were different though.
"Leet yo! I know you enjoyed your current life but how long will this meaningless life will continue? "
"Sooner or later we need to venture into demon continent and look for a way home. We already search the human continent for years and it is proven fruitless. I'm sure that the answers we seek are there."
Both San and Jace tried to talk some sense into Leet. To them, Leet's current action showed how shallow he was.
"But we need to maintain the order in the human continent! We can't just let it crumbles from one selfish reason!"
"KTANGG!!"
"Selfish reason? You saying my attempt to save my big broTHER SELFISH REASON??"
The table in the middle of their meeting room broke as San slammed his fist on top of it without holding back. His tone also changed to a threatening one when he talked.
"Err… I don't mean it that way. It's just…"
Obviously Leet was quite frighten by San at the moment. He knew very well how strong San was. San was without a doubt the strongest player after those eight hidden class.
"JUST WHAT??!"
"Okay, stop right there. San, take a deep breather please. You need to calm yourself."
Jace interfered before the situation worsen.
"We need to discuss about the main issue here, about the expedition to demon continent. The other problem should wait…"
"Sorry to interrupt but can I join the conversation?"
Before Jace finished his line, someone interrupted him midway. This person appeared not too far from the door of their meeting room which were left open since ages ago. A bearded skinny middle aged man in a tuxedo together with a top hat and a monocle. He looks quite the gentleman.
Almost everyone inside the meeting room readied their fighting stance the moment this person revealed himself. Everyone was unfamiliar with this person.
"Sorry, sorry. This friend of mine sure love suspense."
Another middle aged man appeared beside the gentleman. Both Jace and Rose let out a relieved sigh when they saw this man. Even San let his guard down when he saw this person. He was Obelisk, Blue Mist Obelisk.
"Don't worry, your headquarters have perfect defense. We entered after we receive permission from Kalisa."
"Tch, that girl. He didn't notify me."
Jace clicked his tongue after he recalled how mischievous his secretary was. He was worried about enemy's attack for nothing. Truth be told, ever since DarkMonarch had been exiled to the demon continent, there was barely any fight against other players in human continent.
"Enough with that. Let's get back to the main topic. Please let me join you guys in the expedition to demon continent."
With a smile on his face, Obelisk flat out told them his reason for coming to Holy Cloud Empire. He wanted to go to the demon continent to find Mays.
