Bab 18: Foolish First Love
" Then it's set, see you next week." waved goodbye Heng Huan.
" Yes, see you next week, " replied Ting Mei after recomposing herself.
Heng Huan walked to his car and drives away while Ting Mei stood there dumbfounded watching his car getting farther and farther.
She couldn't believe what just happened and wobbled weakly to the door.
What has she just done? And more importantly what has he just done? Oh well... I actually felt bad, so once should be fine.
Fen Hua, who was waiting for her in the doorway, immediately jumped on her and showered her with millions of questions.
" Nothing special, just a normal dinner." answered calmly Ting Mei while taking off her heels.
Fen Hua giggled like a child.
" That's right! I almost forgot your old nickname in school, "Frozen Princess"! The one and only princess whose heart was frozen and was only here for display. It was so funny to hear them call you like that!" laughed Fen Hua.
Ting Mei couldn't help but also show a smirk when Fen Hua said that.
" Well it's not like it's true, I mean there was still the handsome senior of yours..." hinted Fen Hua.
At this moment, Ting Mei froze: she didn't want to recall him.
" I'm tired, let's talk about it another time," mumbled Ting Mei in a soft tone before pushing Fen Hua out the room and closing the door.
Unfortunately for Fen Hua, she realized she touched something sensible too late and couldn't repair her mistake after getting thrown out.
She simply said: " I am leaving early tomorrow so don't make breakfast for me. I won't bother you so take a good rest, good night!", and left.
Ting Mei headed to her bed and dropped her tired body. After hearing Fen Hua's footsteps getting farther and farther away, she rubs her temple trying to make her headache go away.

When she was in school, she was really popular and whenever someone would confess to her, she would reject them flat instantly, thus where the name ' Frozen Princess ' came from. But she had to admit that Fen Hua was right about her having a crush on her senior.
She and he met when Ting Mei got into singing classes and he was the piano player. They were both very famous in school, one was a prince and the other was a princess but until they had a class together, they never met. They actually had a very bad impression about each other while hearing the rumors. Till one day, when the teacher asked them for a service, they got to know each other and started practicing together after school each day.
Eventually, they both fell in love with each other but never confessed. One day, after a practice in the music room, hiding under the white curtains of the room, they had their first kiss. They never made it public and kept their relation under wrapped, that happiness only lasted a week but got engraved deeply in Ting Mei's heart.
Sadly, Fei Ji didn't let her off when she took her crush away and accused her of an unforgivable crime. From this point on, everything that was still holding up in her life collapsed down in a blink of an eye. Friends, family, dreams, pride and even her boyfriend left her in the dark alone.
Despair. Gloom. Dejection. Betrayed. Misery. Desolation. Distress. Sorrow.
No words could declare how she felt. The person she saved and loved, her stepsister, Fei Ji, took away her remaining sanity pillar. One thing led to another and another and so on. Finally, she ended up being sent away to America.
Everything escalated too quickly and at that moment, was where her foolish love ended. The man she loved left the moment everything collapsed. He was not worthy, not worthy of anything like every other man that left her when she went to seek help from them.
Ting Mei let out an icy laugh thinking about this foolish thing called love.
She looks back at everything she has been through when suddenly her phone starts ringing.
Making her dark thoughts fade away, she picks up her phone.
" Sis! You are back! Why didn't you tell me?" screamed the voice on the phone.

givememoney Hi! This chapter was just a quick overall of her past because I didn't want to divulge too much about her story and wanted to emphasize on her first love. This chapter was also a small peek on her stepsister Fen Ji but don't worry the rest will eventually be explained in the following chapters.
