Bab 107: The Devil Is a Doting Husband

She looked like a child traumatized by what had happened in front of her. Her brown eyes were wide and unfocused. Her face and her white dress shirt were spoiled with sweat and blood. Eli could see her body shaking as she tried to calm herself down.

Eli knelt in front of her and let her cry on his shirt. It might have been a long time, but for Ririna, killing someone up close with her own hands somehow disturbed her. His woman looked like a broken doll. What had happened to her?

"I'm sorry," he whispered to her. Why did he leave her? He was too late to save her.

He shouldn't leave her alone even for a second. He thought that he had already killed all the assailants that took the bounty mission against her. Where did he go wrong?

Unbeknownst to other people, his wife was a delicate and sensitive person. She might look tough on the outside, but she was soft and vulnerable when no one was looking.
