When Su Zhinian intended to listen in on Song Qingchun, since she had taken a bit too long, her call came through to his phone.

Su Zhinian thought Song Qingchun had run into some trouble, so he answered it quickly. Before he could say anything, Song Qingchun's voice came through the phone. "Mr. Su, do you mind if I not take your ride home tonight?"

Su Zhinian frowned subconsciously. After a short pause on the phone, Song Qingchun continued carefully, "It's still early, and the subway's still running. The station is close to my home, and I don't wish to trouble you…"

Before she finished, Su Zhinian pulled the phone away from his ear and ended the call. 

Su Zhinian lowered his gaze and leaned back in his seat. He was quiet and immobile.
