Bab 2: Chapter 1 Not so fair

"Mia let's go, the meeting is about to start" Lily one of her colleague called her.

Mia hurried to the meeting room. She took her seat and saw Jake entered the room and everyone greeted him.

"so as everyone knows we are here because today, we are going to appreciate the person that has got us one of the most important project, that will make our company one of the best" he had a bright smile on his face and continued,

"so that person is going to get promoted to one of the most important position and that is the head of the team", Jake said.

I was about to go crazy from happiness, a team head really, my family, Sira everyone will be so happy.

"so everyone" Jakes voice made me pay attention to what he was saying " lets give a round of applause to miss Rose Kim, she will be your new team head"

Everyone went quite for awhile and then cheered and clapped for her.

Mia looked at the girl standing in front of her with a smirk, Rose Kim was or maybe the only person she hated.

Rose always competed with Mia she always wanted to win against her, Mia never knew what she did to make Rose hate her.

I couldn't believe my ears did he say Rose, I felt like someone punched me right on my face

I know Rose is jake's girlfriend he always gives her whatever she wants but this is not fair,

He can't take away someone's else rights.

"Jake but I was the one who got this deal, I did all the work but why is Rose the one getting promoted" Mia looked furiously at Jake while saying those words.

Jake looked at her with an irritated expression "Mia I know you did all the hard work, but hard work is not the only thing that gave us the project, Rose did a lot to make them interested in our company" Jake glanced at rose while with a small smile.

Mia so wanted to punch his face break his front teeth, so whenever he smiles like that he remember how he had to pay for being unfair.

"Like what flirting with them and making them interested in the company or her ", Everyone gasped at Mia's words, they have never seen her talk like that.

Rose got up from her seat angrily walking towards Mia with a deadly glare "how dare you Mia".

But today Mia wasn't in the mood for any drama, she was so angry that she wanted to punch and slap Rose till she passed out.

"You know what keep that so called team head position to yourself Rose and Listen miss Rosy you can only steal from others and Jake keep doing things like this and your company will lose the best employee's."

I said and left from there, like hell I'll work there after this. I took my things and left the company.

I reached my apartment and dumped everything on the bed I didn't even felt like crying I felt like I did good.

I looked at my phone it showed Sira I took her call "Hey Mia so how it went, did you got it ,should I get ready for the party" .Sira said all in one breath. My best friend as always being cheerful.

"Sira actually I couldn't" Mia told her everything how she had a argument with Rose and Jake and how she left the company.

Sira listened to her patiently, when Mia was done telling her everything she said

"That's like my girl, you did great Mia they deserved it ,now lets celebrate" even though they were talking on the phone Mia knew she had a smile on her face while giving this suggestion,

"What! Sira there is nothing to celebrate about, I didn't get promoted and I'm kind of unemployed" Mia sighed.

"Well we are going to celebrate your bravery my friend that how well you know your worth and let me tell you Rose and Jake deserved that so don't you even think about feeling guilty or I might come right there and punch you so now be ready!

I will pick you up at 8:00pm OKAY" Sira said.

" Don't worry you don't have to punch me and I don't feel guilty at all,but yeah I liked my job a lot" Mia had a small smile on her face and said "I'll be ready by 8"

It was 7:10 pm and Sierra was going to pick her up at 8:00pm.

she went to take a bath and got ready, by the time she was done it was already 7:45 pm, Sira might be on her way.

The doorbell rang and she went to open the door, as soon the door was opened she was given a tight hug by her best friend ,Mia felt how much Sira cared about her she was glad to have someone like her.

"So ready to have fun" Sira asked and was glad that Mia wasn't that hurt and was trying to cope with it.

"Yes and stop thinking so much I'm fine, let's go I don't want to be late" Mia smiled.

They went to a club, had some drinks, an amazing dinner to one of the finest restaurant,

Mia felt like she needed this break it felt good, they were having a lot of fun.

Sira felt like she was forgetting something "damn I forgot I had to make a presentation for the upcoming project I think I'll have to leave".

"It's fine Sira you go I'll leave after a while"

"are you sure Mia, I mean will you be okay leaving alone"

"Yeah I will ! now go"

Sira left after that, Mia was having a drink thinking about all the events that happened throughout the day, after awhile she felt she should get going now.

It was quite late it was 11:45 pm, she left the club she didn't feel like taking a cab, she was walking on the street , the cold breeze made her feel quite at peace.

Mia was walking down the street it was quite scary as she could not see much in the dim lights of the lamps, she hurriedly walked,

wanting to leave as soon as possible now she kind of regretted her decision of not taking a cab when she was almost at the end of the street,

she heard a faint voice and stopped dead in her tracks she thought maybe she is imagining things but when she heard a women crying it scared her like hell,

she saw some news of women getting killed at night, she saw a weird horror movie in which a lady ghost first makes people feel pity for her and then kill them to have a nice feast afterwards.

She was about to run from there, when she saw a lady standing near the lamp covering her face and crying, her hair was falling on her face, Mia was about to leave when that lady saw her lifting her head a bit.

Mia was about to scream but controlled herself cause it would have been rude but the lady wasn't less horrifying than a ghost in Mia's eyes as she had her eyeliner all smudged her lipstick was a mess it was going till her left cheek.
