Bab 132: Chapter 132: Lucky charm
3rd person POV
Tieran Ti, the orc king, an 80 year old muscular brute 2.6m tall sitting in chair similar size to the lord of giants when they used magic to become smaller. He has decorated black and blue tattoo all over his body hidden only barely under a thick jacket, golden accessories all over his body.
On his neck was a golden chain and hanging there is a piece of jade, usually pendants would have to be pierced and have something to attach it to the chain, but this one is stuck on only by magic, meaning that it's the indestructible jade.
A servant then came into the room announcing the arrival of the prince of the faeries race which threw Valentina off since the king was supposed to come, and she was hoping to overhear his talk with the orc king.
She never thought that Tierian would openly show the jade fragment, but again, the orcs are proud of their battle prowess, he's one of the orcs that were born with slightly above average stats for magic despite being a race infamous for their lack of magic at all, combined with his physical prowess, he easily rose to the position.
But what surprised her even more is the fact that the prince of fairy who walked into the room also worse the jade piece around his wrist as a part of his bracelet, which baffled her, why would he show it?
Farian Joney Gloria, the first prince of the faeries race, 26 years old and a 3rd year A class student at the academy, he does plan to only climb a few dozen floors of the tower and want to train his powers in order to succeed his father who despite being strong, never trained in the academy or in the tower.
Farian joined the academy late, but he's already a member of a top clan despite still being a student, overlooked once Perseus was announced as the best talent ever. The faeries race actually considering setting up an arrange marriage between Eleanor and him, they ignored the 12 year age difference since they won't matter when she turns 30 or something, but it was impossible since Valentina does not believe in arranged marriages after the divorces and the fact that they are both heirs to their respective dynasty.
"Hah to think your father would give you the jade piece." Tierian laugh aloud
"What jade piece are you talking about?" Valentina asked in a fake curious manner as she sat opposite of Tierian. Farian then sat next to the orc king and gave his greetings.
"This." the orc king showed proudly.
Valentina's eyes were quick, she saw a small shift of expression in Etha's face. Though there are many members of the mirage legion who are public about their association, Etha is only highly speculated as he is friendly with these famous members, but his short and slight shift confirmed her suspicions, it's the jade.
"I heard you were good with magic and a potential prospect for a future named, right?" Tieran then took it off his neck "Try shooting it with a spell, my bodyguards won't interfere."
"I cannot oblige with your request unfortunately." Valentina rejected
"Well doesn't matter either way, this thing under our shaman's inspection possess great power, I don't know what it is, but I like it, it is my good luck charm, helped me won all my battles." He chuckled "It is unbreakable against any forces, though I have not hired any rankers to try it out yet."
"Then, how is it connected to the young Farian?"
"It's because my father found the same item, lord Tieran wanted to buy it at first which my father rejected, and since they both consider it their good luck charm, they continued their good relations." Farian joined in "My father wanted me to pass along his apologies, he was called by some nobles for an unfortunate urgent matter and so I took his place."
"Rest well now, you are a participant of the current favorites to win the whole tournament of your grade." Valentina advised
<Well the rest of the night should be boring now that I got what I came here to do.> Valentina thought.

Perseus POV
I got to the house of the Lagunas and me and my sister used magic to make sure our activities and presence here are hidden. I tried Diana's method of activating it and sure enough, my blood does activate it.
Struan and Brooke are dumbfounded since they probably had people tried the same method but didn't work, unlike Marella who knows the existence of the true gods, they are clueless.
But Marella is silent right now as her eyes are closed and is holding the jade and using her powers or whatever till she receive some sort of clue, I don't really know how a seer work so I just leave it up to her.
"You think you 2 siblings can leave some of your activated blood here before you go?" Brooke asked
I then threw him a spatial storage ring.
"I got a few vials in there, the mana diminishes after a couple days at most, so be careful."
We then shut up from discussing our theories once Marella raise a finger to signal for silence.
"I see green eyes, a deep unrecognizable voice...I see the face of the 2 missing nobles greeting him." But when Marella opened her eyes, just for a split second, it was the colored of the jade green eyes "Those 2 called him their master, I don't know how, but I do know that wherever they met, it was nowhere near the world of the tower...and a short glimpse of those eyes, it was really dazzling and so...beautiful..."
"How attracted were you to this person just by their eyes?"
"Very, I don't know what came over me though." Marella answered
"Same thing over and over, jade green eyes, eyes so beautiful and dazzling, shit."
"I contacted people who fitted this description regardless of gender and race, I got nothing so far." Diana commented
"I haven't finish." Marella interjected "I'm paraphrasing, but the person said something about returning what's his."
