Bab 13: Space in System Called the Paper Roll
Jiang Zhi whispered, "Bring me into the space."
As soon as Jiang Zhi entered the space, Paper Roll greeted him within seconds.
Paper Roll immediately greeted Jiang Zhi warmly. "Hello, Master. Nice to meet you again," Paper Roll said.
Jiang Zhi whispered softly and felt a slight change within the space. The temperature and some things had changed. It seemed like his space had also expanded. Many trees had grown, more than the last time he entered the space.
"What changes with the level increase?" Jiang Zhi asked Paper Roll.
"Well, the power contained within all parts of the space and the expansion of the space are important. The higher the level, the more diverse the contents of the space," Paper Roll explained.
"Will there be an ocean?" Zhang Rui asked again.
"Yes, if you reach a certain level."
Jiang Zhi pondered the space that could become a small world. Finally, he felt satisfied with discovering this space. Previously, he felt that his power was almost useless and could only be used to store items. But seeing the progress so far, he was proud of his own power. With this, if he continued to increase his power level, he could create his own beautiful world within his space.
"Alright. Can you give me a detailed update on the situation in this space? Oh, also show me how many points I have," Jiang Zhi requested.
"Of course!"

"No, there aren't. This is a space, not a game."
"Alright. So, how many crystals I needed to level up?" Jiang Zhi asked eagerly.
"I will provide that information for you," replied Paper Roll.
Instantly, Paper Roll entered system mode and decreased Jiang Zhi's crystal count.

"You need 100% more core crystals than the previous amount to level up," Paper Roll explained after reading Jiang Zhi's points.
The number of zeros shocked Jiang Zhi. It was so many that he couldn't fathom how long it would take to accumulate that many points. Clearly, it was not a simple task even just to reach level 2. He became slightly pessimistic again. It seemed highly improbable for Zhang Rui as well.
"That is for level 1 core crystals. What about other levels?" Jiang Zhi inquired.
"Here is the breakdown for you," Paper Roll explained again.
Paper Roll: [1 level 1 core crystal is worth 1 point.
1 level 2 core crystal is worth 10 points,
1 level 3 core crystal is worth 100 points,
1 level 4 core crystal is worth 1,000 points,

1 level 10 core crystal is worth 1,000,000,000 points.]
"The higher the level of the core crystal, the more difficult it is to obtain," Paper Roll clarified.
This explanation startled Jiang Zhi. He felt frustrated, as if Paper Roll was intentionally making it harder for him.
"Hey, does this mean you're making it difficult for me to reach higher levels? Are you not going to help me at all? Can't you make it easier for me?" Jiang Zhi insisted.
"It's not possible! Those are the rules."
The space of Jiang Zhi had rules that couldn't be violated, and he was responsible for managing and utilizing it within those rules and conditions. It all depended on Jiang Zhi himself, how he could utilize and manage his space, but within the rules and conditions set by the space.
"By the way, I don't have any special abilities, so it's difficult for me to obtain that many core crystals," Jiang Zhi expressed doubt.
After hearing Paper Roll's explanation, Jiang Zhi started to doubt. His optimism suddenly turned into pessimism. He felt that if his power was merely storage space and he needed to collect core crystals to upgrade his space level, there was no difference between having abilities and not having them. Unlike Zhang Rui and Shen Yize, who possessed powers that were clearly useful for fighting against zombies out there.
"You have a special ability, you just haven't awakened it yet," Paper Roll said with a smile.
Jiang Zhi regained hope of hearing this. However, he was still confused about what special power he had and how to awaken it. He had no idea.
"Really? How do I awaken it?" Jiang Zhi asked for Paper Roll, seeking answers.
"I don't know. It depends on your luck."
It turned out that Paper Roll didn't have a definite answer, either. However, Paper Roll had already provided explanations to Jiang Zhi regarding the store within the storage space. This gave Jiang Zhi many ideas and visions, like building a large house and more.
Jiang Zhi then requested a list of stores within the space and what it sold there.
"Alright. Give me the store list. I want to buy something to build a big house."
"Okay."
Paper Roll displayed a list of items in the store along with their prices. Jiang Zhi regained hope from what he wanted to pursue. He had to search for opportunities and maximize his chances based on the newly understood details of the rules. He didn't want to take steps with limited information.
"Hey, at what level are the automated building items unlocked?" Jiang Zhi continued his question.
"Level 3."
"Damn! That means I have to work on my own until I reach level 3! You're really making it difficult for me!"
Just to reach level 2, he needed to have 5,000 points from crystals, which was at least ten times the number Jiang Zhi currently had.
"You can buy tools from this store. They're different from what exists in the real world and can help lighten your workload."
Jiang Zhi paused for a moment. He looked around and considered which items might assist him in his work. He had to make smart purchases to ensure his points weren't wasted on something useless.
"Can I really buy the items I want in the store?" Jiang Zhi double-checked.
"Yes, of course, Master," Paper Roll replied.
"Alright, I'll buy them a few items."
"What items would you like to purchase?" Paper Roll asked.
"I will buy a super-fast pushcart and a hollowed-out axe."
Jiang Zhi had already decided to use his points to buy these two items. The super-fast pushcart would undoubtedly be useful for transportation and carrying goods. And the hollowed-out axe would also assist him, including for defense.

Instantly, Jiang Zhi's points decreased as he bought the hollowed-out axe and the super-fast pushcart, which were now in his storage.
