"He seems autistic. Can these pills cause this condition?"

"Neuroleptics can have a dampening effect, which could explain his social behavior. But we know neither how long he had taken these pills nor the dose. It could be possible that he will come back to normal after a withdrawal, he could also show severe symptoms."
