Things getting heated. That night was longest night of Sophia's life .She experienced so many first of her life that night.
Next morning
At 6 am Sophia's mobile alarm ringed . Sophia tried to get from bed to turn it of
as soon as she get up from bed she felt a unbearable pain in her back . That pain makes her remember all embarrassing things she did last night her face blush.
While she was trying to get a hold of herself.
In the soft morning light, a shadow silently materialized behind Sophia, and before she could react, strong arms encircled her. Lifted like a princess, she found herself in the arms of Vincent, the enigmatic figure who had become a constant presence in her unconventional world.
Gently, Vincent placed her on the bed, tucking her in with a duvet as if shielding her from the complexities that lurked beyond. His touch, though firm, held a surprising tenderness, a gesture that hinted at a complexity beneath the surface.
"Rest a little more," Vincent suggested, his voice carrying a quiet concern. "You only got two hours of sleep."
Sophia, still drowsy from her interrupted slumber, inquired, "What about you? You didn't get much sleep either."
Vincent's response was matter-of-fact. "I'll take a nap in the car on my way to the hotel."
Curiosity flickered in Sophia's hazel eyes as she probed further, "Do you have work at the hotel today?"
Vincent clarified, "No, just a meeting. I'll return early today. Let's have dinner together."
As he spoke, a subtle warmth seeped into the room, dispelling the chill that lingered in the early hours. The ambiance shifted with the entrance of maids, bringing with them a change of clothes for Vincent and assisting him in preparing for the day. Meanwhile, another maid delicately arranged a breakfast spread, creating an impromptu tableau of morning rituals.
Sophia, curious yet cautious, asked, "Are we going to have breakfast together as well?"
Vincent, his tone carrying a hint of possessiveness, replied, "Yes, so you don't go around inviting strangers for tea."
A memory flickered in Sophia's mind, and after a brief pause, she remembered, "He was your brother, not a stranger."
Vincent's response was dismissive. "Whatever, just stay away from him as far as possible."
Resigned, Sophia nodded, lacking the energy to engage in a futile argument. Breakfast was served – a feast for Sophia, accompanied by a cup of black coffee for Vincent, who admitted to regularly skipping the most important meal of the day.
Observing Vincent, Sophia couldn't help but steal glances, her hazel eyes lingering on the man who was simultaneously a puzzle and a constant in her tumultuous journey. After Vincent finished his coffee, he leaned down, planting a gentle kiss on Sophia's forehead before leaving the room with his tablet in hand.
The lingering warmth of his kiss left Sophia's heart fluttering, yet the sight of Vincent's departing figure also stirred a sense of loneliness. As the door closed behind him, Sophia was left to contemplate the complexities of a relationship that seemed to oscillate between tenderness and distance, leaving her suspended in the enigma that was Vincent Moretti.
