Lmao yeah, that's Orks in 40k for you. Their tech is absolutely absurd, they even paint their vehicles red to make them go faster. The weird thing is, the red pain does in fact make them go faster
So these Orks while primitive looking seemed to have a basic grasp on firearms and even cybernetics, it was exceedingly surprising. How in the world did they manage to come up with this level of equipment, some of it even surpassed that of my old world in terms of technology level alone. We hadn't managed to create cybernetic limbs that acted like an actual limb yet, and here these dumb brutes had managed it, in an albeit primitive way which was even more surprising.

Oh aye, I was always a rugby union player. I'm pretty average sized but I was quick which let me play. I'm from the UK, so it's mostly Rugby and Football over here.
I had mimicked the typical stance of a rugby player, while I used to play the sport as a much younger teenager I was decades out of practice. I wasn't entirely sure the 'Tower of Power' was going to be of much help against a walking tank of an animal, yet this was the best idea I could muster in such a short time. With a wince I prepared myself and so it came, the brute smashed into my shoulder, I'd managed to get just low enough to clip the creatures knees as they let out a sickening POP.

Thank you traveller, I shall keep this in mind. Battles and larger fights will probably last a while too, it might be worth creating one large chapter for that and have that as the daily release instead. Word count matters more than chapter number at the end of the day
nope, I thought it'd speed things up too much and take it in an overwhelming direction too early. it'd also take away a lot of the mystery for the character
I grew up playing it, it was my schools main sport so I just had to add it in. orks are too rugby like to not include it

yeah that's fair, it was my first time writing a fighting scene so it was definitely something I'm not used to. I got a lot of my writing skills from online roleplay which has a lot of fighting. long detailed fights are a staple of that community so I suppose I let it bleed into my writing a little too much
that is if he is god... I might be stealing a plot point of youjo senki here just because I find it super cool
"I'm overworked by an untold Billions of souls and hear this exact same drivel on a secondly basis. You're driven by lust, lack faith and yet you try and turn this on me? It was your kind who wanted enlightenment and when I give it to you on a silver platter you throw it back in my face. It seems like animals you must experience such strife first-hand. If it is rationality that you so covet then I shall banish you to a place without rationality.

that's a good mindset to have for sure, I've been reading a lot of "Mech Touch" recently which is a whole lot of filler. So I've sort of gotten into a pattern of filling out my chapters with every little thing, I think I've taken it too far in one direction for sure and I'll be sure to drag it back
also it's pre-fall of Cadia, but still in the 41st millennium. That way I can have some fun narrative stuff with imperium nihilus if I wanted or even some fun stuff for cadia, depending on the way the story goes
Thank you traveller, I was a bit worried that it wouldn't come across great. It was a bit of story progression but not from our main man, hope it translated well and built up some tension
