There’s IMO a pretty big difference between selling a drug to those knowledgeable and aware it’s a drug and addictive and what is essentially spiking/drugging people’s food in order to get them hooked on it. One falls under the grey zone of “I don’t create the demand just supply the product.” While the other is literally “we made the demand so we could sell more drugs even to those who weren’t interested.” The first one is how some IRL people rationalise selling/providing legal addictive substances (alcohol, cigarettes, gambling) while the later is way more foul.
"No, no. You really think that this is all caused by us? We aren't responsible for what they do with the things we've sold to them. Under normal circumstances, they should have sold it as it is. But their greed is what made them change the label to sell them as something else to exploit others."

One thing I like about this story is that although Apollo is basically a Mary-Sue, it doesn’t feel all that forced. It’s clear that Spartari limits itself on body modification and other things. Meanwhile Apollo had access to the Hive’s knowledge and resources for 20+ years doing basically nothing but training for that whole time. It just makes sense that he is like he is. Aside from the 1 Boon (which is definitely major) there’s no like “you did x mundane thing you gain 5000 strength” (system stories suck) Anyway just thought I’d mention that for a relatively OP protagonist Apollo is probably the most entertaining outside of satire characters like Sid Kageno or OPM
I think 100% trust is like if he said jump they’d ask how high like full complete no hesitation of what he asks

“Hot bean water” what a cruel way to describe the drink of the gods
After leaving the kitchen, Sophia brought the cup of hot bean water to the living room and placed it on her table. Now that she was awake, she pulled out her communicator and snuggled up next to Apollo. As she might as well as get some work done while also benefiting from snuggles. It was a win-win situation.
