There are plenty of inventors within the Twin Cities capable of creating enhanced mechanical limbs, as shown by the Chemtech prosthetics used by many of the Undercity. Camille’s progress towards being considered ‘Champion level’ would simply be pushed back until the commercial distribution of hextech is available to the public.

A kid is a kid, and I don’t think Vander would have ended up seeing him as anything else, despite his latent abilities. Doubly so given the heavy prosecution mages face in the Twin Cities, after all, Orion just revealed what I’m assuming to be an Arcane power just to save the gang even though it put him at a lot of risk. In other words, the man would have a lot of leverage over the boy’s future because he knows this information, which could make Vander more inclined to trust Orion.
