Charmcaster advantages are that she's much more knowledgeable in magic than most. Even though Ben is arguably better, Gwen isn't. It gives Gwen someone closer to her level like Charmcaster rather than some like Ben, who studied from 'birth'. Charmcaster has a better figure since she is older, which will make the other girls confessed or understand their feeling for Ben. In my opinion, I prefer that Ben would be with everyone (that's Gwen, Lucy, Kate, and yes, Charmcaster and maybe one or two more in the future) would be in a relationship. Ben deserves it, and I don't want the girls to be hurt. that's my opinion, though. thanks for asking.

The Author made a 'solo leveling ' reference. Sung Jin-Woo was the MC in solo leveling, and he had two hearts. His normal one and the black heart one that contains his other powers. Ben's normal heart contains his Anodite powers, and the black heart one contains the dark magic powers from ghostfreak. I hope this helps.
