On the counter, one would notice that it was made of dark wood and had ornate carvings all around its edges. Behind the counter, there was a display case filled with an array of delectable treats, from sugary fairy cakes to savory dragon stew, all served on mismatched china and silverware. There were also jars filled with colorful candies and other sweets lining the counters, with each jar labeled in beautiful, swirling calligraphy.

Ruby glanced back, her gaze as dull as ever despite the situation. The forest floor blurred beneath their churning feet, a rush of green and brown churned into a panicked kaleidoscope. Towering behind them was a creature born of hell. Its obsidian form, the size of a siege tower, hulked against the sky. Jagged spikes, blacker than sin, sprouted from its hide like malevolent thorns, glinting an oily sheen in the fading light. With each thunderous footfall, the earth trembled – with each of its steps.

It was as if she stood on air, her gaze overlooked all. Flowing minty-green hair adorned her head, falling in waves and framing a beautiful face that would leave most swooning over this perfection. Her eyes were a duller green and seemed to hold a depth of knowledge to them, and they further complemented her extravagant dark dress adorned with gold. One would mistake this girl as human were it not for her pointed ears where two gold earpieces hung and the jagged red horns protruding out of her head.

The first woman had a head of silky gold-blond hair and dull red eyes that seemed to assess the two of them like they were prey. Her attire was rather unconventional. She wore a loose, wrinkled white shirt, the first few buttons were loose, showing off her cleavage, and both sleeves were rolled up, as well as the lower part of the shirt to show a hint of her toned stomach. She also wore baggy grey trousers with one ankle rolled up and heavy black boots that clashed with her outfit. Overall, she looked like a homeless person who had had too much to drink and was suffering from a hangover. Not to mention, she had a droopy and lazy look about her. The second woman was a lot more dignified in the appearance department. She had a serene and beautiful face like that of a doll, long, neat black hair that made her beautiful emerald green eyes stand out even more. She wore a heavy suit of finely crafted silver armor adorned in blue with a gem embedded into the chest.

The smaller girl's attire consisted of a combat dress, black in color with red decorating most of the chest area, the sleeves of the dress were connected to red gloves with sleek alloy on the knuckles as well as large red bracelets on either wrist. Finishing with black stockings adorned in red with heavy black combat boots.
