Am I the only one wondering when this whole story started smelling like rotten cat food?

Yeah, this story is simply not good anymore. A pity really, the chapters are being dragged along in an annoying manner. What was even the point of the last chapter???

I have actually read this fic multiple times cause i like it a lot! He was powerless to save Meiko. He did try by pulling her towards taking a mission with him. But other than that, he was way out of his depth at that point of time. But choosing to critically injure a leaf ninja ( not scum like danzo or the elders ) for the sake of more power makes his mindset/personality to be quite similar to Danzo/Snake Sannin. Fujin has treated people fairly from the start. There is a big difference between choosing to stay safe and not risk your life for a fellow shinobi ( what i ensvision fujin to be) to attacking and injuring a fellow shinobi for personal benefit ( not fujin and sounds like Danzo in my opinion). Cheers!

Hurting Asuma is hurting/betraying Hiruzen. Fujin has gained a lot from Konoha which he himself acknowledges. Unlike Naruto he hasnt been wronged by them. Apathy towards Konoha is okay but to go to the extent of almost killing/crtitically injuring Asuma to gain power seems like a drastic sudden shift in his character. Actually makes him seem like Dannzo/Orochi if he contemplates that.

Fujin planning to hurt asuma/Hiruzen to get Tsunade back … seems a bit out of character? It sounds like orochimaru type power hungry and uncharacteristic of the Fujin i had in mind from reading the story so far ??
