His contract with the QiE-Novel Megacorp hangs like an ever-tightening noose around him. He lives and breathes at their mercy. When an accident occurs, he finds himself ruthlessly cut off. Full of resentment, he lashes out, and they readily take the opportunity to end his contract. It was the last straw, and he buckles.
