If my guess is correct, Alex always says 'it's a blessing' to the abilities he was given. He even starts to brag about himself and becomes egotistical. This causes Alex to never think about the true nature of the being who gave him these abilities.
It would be nice to have a real enemy in this FF. More powerful than even the Volturi. Something only Alex could defeat.
