In the world of Asphodel, a tale rides the breaths of its people. It sings of an Inquisitor, an exorcist of great renown. In the Elysian Orthodoxy, many tell of the one raised by the Interrogator. The little monster to the Exalted Butcher, his eyes pierce through the veil of the material world, as if they had seen the peerless void beyond space and time, and travelled between its infinite bounds. Unfeeling and unmoved, many even doubt his existence. Many say he has devoted his life butchering the evil that lurks about the murky shadows, to inspire great fear, so that they don't even dare leaving their caverns in the underworld. He fights for the Lord, his mind tempered by the muddy flames of evil, and his spirit guided by hallowed light. "Is that what they say? Ridiculous, this has gotten out of hand." "It is. Cold... dreary.... unfeeling.. Reality is... running away? Why does it feel so... it feels so... huh? I can't feel anything. I can't see anything. I can't hear anything. No light, no darkness, a void. What a predicament. My name? Clearly doesn't matter right now. Falling.. falling.. Am I? I'm just guessing at this point, it's been so long. I just wanted to go home after work, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. I can make this work... right? I was just about to conform to my new reality when... I felt something, it was cold and fleeting. A gentle breeze.. I guess I wasn't in purgatory after all. The question is however, is this place any better? ------ A little tale of a lost soul, difference being the absence of his humanity. Now a mysterious spirit-like entity, our main character navigates a new expansive world! Complete with magic, fantastical new people and beasts alike! Or not... maybe he'll just settle down by the lakeside and practice his flute. Catch up on some rest and alone time? Please? Ah... the words are appearing on the synopsis, it's clearly making fun of me.. Ah whatever! Fate, if you wanna find me, I'll be over by the riverbank!

Quite some time ago, in a world not so different from Earth, Hailing from the Chaos at the dawn of creation, a lone hatchling of legendary origins takes its first breath- or rather, multiple breaths at the same time. As it turns out, this hatchling is gifted with several heads. Never alone, this curious creature seeks to scour the deepest depths and highest peaks. ------ The world is an Ancient time period Earth, but includes many fantasy-like additions inspired by the mythologies of our Earth. As you can probably guess, the MC is a 5 headed Hydra, not exactly the Lernaean Hydra but in the same mythology nonetheless. Story starts during the reign of Titan King Kronos. As a side note, it won't only be Greek mythology but also others as the novel goes on. Take note: - No Romance! Hydra does not love. - Mc will be relatively OP, nothing over the top or ridiculous but certainly contains fast growth befitting of a higher being. - 1k or so words per chap. - MC is Chaotic neutral (obviously) - And lastly, no turning into a human. Those are lesser beings, they have only one head. - No little band of monster friends that the MC keeps around so they can stay weak, only grind for us.
