[Now, what you suggested may/could have worked but there were a few things:- 1) I wanted to focus more on the game(Yggdrasil) itself as very few fics do so. 2)I have some changes which if introduced with your method, I might have some trouble writing but more experienced writers may be able to do so. 3) The job classes, skills, NPC, etc. the MC created/acquired would not have made sense if not explained beforehand and if explained mid-story might feel like info dumps.
