A fair point. But even then, there'd be no adversity. Is the protagonist really in danger when he's purposefully not even using 100% of his strength? It'd make it look like the MC is just willingly letting himself get hurt or willingly letting others get hurt.

The biggest one being the starting verse and the OP-ness of the protagonist. He literally won't be challenged. Ever. Which means next to no adversity which makes character development extremely hard if not impossible to do. Some authors can write stories about OP characters and make them great but I realised that isn't the kind of author I am and I neither have the experience nor the talent to do so.

People would get up in arms if I nerfed the MC like that. I've been lurking on this site for long enough to know that weakening a protagonist is the quickest way for an author to lose the support of their readers. Besides, how to send him to new universes was never the problem I was having.

Yes, that was the goal, but I have to do something with the protagonist while in his current universe otherwise it'd get boring. You'd just have this god-like being who doesn't change or evolve and just stays the same - it'd get repetitive and then it'd get boring.

But that's the problem. The MC doesn't have morals, not really. If he runs into someone who threatens him, he'll kill them, and if he believes taking over the world is the best course of action he'll take it. And outside of people who can physically or mentally match him, no one could stop him from doing so.

That's not the problem. Him getting stronger isn't a problem - I could pull out something like you said. But him being too powerful for his current verse IS the problem. It leads to problems with his character development and ones I can't think of a solution for.

Well, I'm sorry but I'm not gonna write a story that's only half of what it can be. It'd be a disservice to my audience and to me as an author.

Agents of Shield is a part of the MCU so if he goes to one of them, he's gonna be able to experience the other one. And by tvd do you mean The Vampire Diaries? Because if so, that verse is a little weak for the MC. He could literally keep Klaus on the ground with his pinkie finger.

Super soldier serums wouldn't work. He already has Compound V and that wouldn't mix well with anything else. John basically had the Compound V injected into him when he was a fetus, so he was born super, his cells and everything about him are super. Adding in serums made for ordinary people would be a recipe for disaster. Ki has it's limits seeing as it relies on the physical strength of the body - so unless John is part-Saiyan, he won't be able to fully seek the benefits Saiyans get from it. His body already takes in 100% of every breath to a degree that's a hundred fold better than any of the Hashiras in Demon Slayer. There's honestly not much I can do to make him physically better outside of training and even that is absurdly hard with his current physical strength.

He's thirteen, my guy, relax. Puberty hasn't even begun really loading on the muscle yet, so just sit back and chill.

"Working as hard as ever, huh, John?" a youthful voice said and John let the bar down as he turned to see someone in the same situation as him. She was a year older than him with auburn brown hair and dark eyes - she was pretty but still had that all-too youthful look to her that most teens have signalling her age despite her apparent physical development. She was tall for a girl her age, which is 14 for reference, and had an athletic physique like that of a dancer or a track and field athlete. John smiled at her appearance in the training room and the girl looked to the console not too far off from her before she gave a whistle, "150 tonnes, John? Guess puberty really is hitting you, huh?" she joked.

TV ACTION ROMANCE ADVENTURE R18 DARK SUPERPOWERS OVERPOWERED TRANSMIGRATION

A police officer awakens as a young Homelander, held in a Vought International facility. How far can he go and how much can he change the fate of the original Homelander? (A/N - I honestly think Homelander gets a bad rap. Not in the sense that he's a sociopath - because he is. The dude is straight up fucking terrifying, a bonafide example of what would happen if a human had the powers of Superman and was raised in a horrible environment. No, I mean in terms of power. Sure, he isn't on the same level as the Man of Steel but he's still an absolute powerhouse for his verse. Put Homelander in the MCU and he'd be one of the heavy hitters quite easily. He's bulletproof, explosion proof, it's implied he's survived nuclear blasts, he's super strong, fast, can fly faster than fighter jets quite easily...the dude is fucking immense in terms of power and everyone around him knows it--and fears him for it. And I think Homelander wasn't even tapping into his full potential because of complacence and lack of actual training on his part. So I'm gonna throw someone into his body as a child and then into the Multiverse, starting with 'The Boys' TV series.)
