As far as he was aware, just SCP-1618, on its own, was able to make more gold than they could sell on the market without crashing it. And now he could make so much more, but it did allow them to turn anything, no matter what material, into gold, which, if nothing else, would allow them to build some magnificent statues.

For while the Foundation did a shit ton of shady shit, it was always for the greater good of the world itself. They did, after all, work outside of any national boundaries. You could say it was fate that he led the zhell forces and drove the taung of the planet, since that is what really happened. In a sense, you can say it was his fate to led the forces, otherwise the zhell may have never won.
And we did win. In the final battle, called the 'Freeing of Notron', we managed to defeat the Taung in a decisive battle. The last remaining Taung decided to flee the planet to the planet Roon. This marked the end of the war between the Zhell and the Taung, many years before it was supposed to end in the original timeline.

Yes, he was very satisfied with the result of project Aegis Mentis, even if it didn't offer projection against other threats, which it did. Just the fact that it lifted the veil was more then enough to make it well forth the investment and time sunk into it. For the truth, was worth everything.
