Give this book a read if you're tired of the absolute slop you'll find on this site. The writing is solid, and the pacing is fine, imo. Read all the chapters that are out now over a journey I was on and didn't get pulled out of it. I am absolutely pissed that some people are reviewing it with 2s and 3s when it deserves so much better. I admit the changes from the original are only slowly becoming better (in character interactions mainly for now), and I am yet unsure how emotional the MC is in some scenes but these are minor issues that will no doubt get better. I hope the author keeps up the great work. I'm looking forward to more chapters, and I hope you don't give up on this work! Cheers, man! P.S. I leave this review for my mental health's sake. I can't go on reading the Chinese translation bullshit on this site, and with any decently written being harassed I doubt I'll have a choice (although it might be that higher quality works attract snobs who expect that much better or something but I'm not giving them that much credit. CHUTES and ladders??? I grew up with SNAKES and ladders, but honestly, chutes make so much more sense in the context of the game.
