She awakens to find herself in an unknown place in an unfamiliar body with an unhelpful voice in her head. On top of that, she has gained fox ears and a tail, she also seems to have memories of this new world and the body she finds herself in. Unfortunately not all of the memories are clear and she must rely on this rpg like system in her head to both unlock these memories and guide her on a path home. As she explores the world she finds that it is somehow both modern and old, with magic permeating every day life. Architecture reminiscent of the 1700s clashes with modern day conveniences enabled through magic. Will Shaman be able to make use of her knowledge of video games and novels to take advantage of her rpg system in this new world? Or will she be dragged down and entangled by the darkness of the world around her as she searches for the truth behind her circumstances? Sitting behind a small table, the old man offers a rather strange-looking apple. Not wanting to deal with the old man's dream food, he tries to leave, but when he makes it to the end of the alley, he is suddenly looped back to the old man. As if there were some divine intervention, a woman speaks in his head, taking the voice of his only friend Lyra. Not having a choice, Saki reluctantly takes the purple apple, promising that it will change his life. He knew that it was a load of shit, but with the voice in his head and the strange situation, he was hopeful that it was. So, returning home, he takes a bite of the apple, sealing his fate. Waking up in a foreign place, Saki finds himself in a new body, that of a woman. As he accepts this new reality and figures out what the hell has happened to him. He is quick to find out that despite the new chance he got, it is going to be a new hell for him. Going up against nobles that treat him like shit and a world that seemingly wants to go against him. He finds himself in a downward spiral of pain and suffering. Reia looked into the files themselves while on the mission and discovers a blueprint of a generator for a new source of energy that could potentially wipe out the entire world. Upon returning to her quarters she tries to figure out what the military plans to do and how much time they have before they need to leave. However, the military already made their move and sent someone to assassinate Reia and her squad. Reia knowing exactly what they were here for decides to push forward the plan to run away from the military. Killing the general that came to kill them sets off the military to hunt Reia and her squad forcing them to leave. Reia and her squad then attempt to escape but while they are escaping, the middle of the military base began to erupt. Massive cracks formed across the entire military city, and then these cracks began spewing green lava. This green lava had an effect causing everyone that was touched by the lava to turn into a mutant. Half humans became a much bigger version of their animals and humans became an elongated version of themselves. Their bodies would turn into a black oily slime substance and lose all logical thought. Reia and her squad manage to make it to the outer city without being infected but were separated in the process. Now being separated each of the members must survive on their own and find a way to regroup. Living in a modern world where society runs like normal, she must hide her identity as a half-fox and assassin. Being contracted by the government and clients who are willing to pay a high enough price. Ayame uses the powers that are bestowed upon her by the gods to carry out these missions. Tomoe, Ayame's foster mother who runs the shrine as well as manages her assassin contracts decides to send her to university. Not wanting to confine Ayame to the shrine for the rest of her life uses some funds that were put aside to send her out. However, during one of Ayame's missions, she encountered a mysterious woman who has taken an interest in her. This woman also happens to be looking into attending the same university as Ayame. However, Since this woman knows Ayame's secret, she went and befriended her. Although the woman seems untrustworthy, she forced her way into Ayame's life which made it apparent that the woman actually wanted to escape her life at home. Ayame now having a friend attending the same University, now has to balance out her normal life with her assassin job. But during all this, in the background and the missions she takes, she slowly gets roped into more of the underworld's business. Even though she doesn’t know it the person closest to her may turn out to be part of a big operation and Ayame walks right into the middle of it. ------------
