While I have done some prewrite work for an improved version of Son of Jiraiya, I'd rather write for my favorite Naruto character ever: Zabuza. Fixing what's wrong with Son of Jiraiya feels like a duty, cranking out Zabuza content feels fun. Let me know if there is some great demand for Kiba as a protagonist.

A few souls ahead of me actually qualified to spin the wheel and I figured out the gimmick. These were all good people likely slated for entry into Heaven, and the Devil was here to tempt them to live again with some kind of special power so that everything would go straight to their head and when they died again they'd be a shoo-in for Hell.

I was struck recently by a sudden questioning of the popularity behind 'The Gamer' and 'Adaptability' superpowers. I've seen people get overly hyped when both appear in a story and I don't like either. I think that their is something wrong with the modern power fantasy involving repetition of mundane activities or self inflicted masochism to gain ultimate power, and it seems tied to the general hopelessness on the rise. We all want our efforts and suffering to mean something greater, and so those powers in fiction tap into that quiet fear. I don't like it. What do you think?
