Hanzo was I think couple years older then Hiruzan Sarutobi. So that means he had more experience and alot more time to devolp, perfect his jutsu and had way more chakra then them. The Sannin where in there mid twenites at that time probely elite jonin strenghtwise and Hanzo was Kage lvl and if I remeber correctly they where all posioned. So Tsunade`s focus was on healing them the whole time.
But how could the 3 sennin lose to hanzo the salamander, if the salamander couldn't be compared with the other 3 sacred lands?! they fought 3-1 dammnit]

This RWBY arc took much longer than expected. I'm not out of ideas or improvising, it's just that a LOT of unforeseen events happened this year, as I 'narrated' as they occurred.
