I am rereading this story since it is still a fantastic story. I am wondering if the person who says this is supposed to be Makai’s dad, Mr. Rivers, not Ocean’s dad, Mr. Shores. Maybe I read it wrong, but I thought I should let you know.

I keep getting this feeling that the siren b***h is somehow going to do something and/or already did something to the baby before her ability to sing was taken out….
