So far, I've written 4 Douluo Dalu fanfics and I can honestly say that this one has been my least favorite to write. If you look at it purely as a fanfic, it's just mediocre. And when you look at it as a story, there are so many inherent plot holes and tired developments. I could consider rewriting it in the future but I have no such plans as of now and likely not ever. If anything, II might make a new novel in the future with just the Koi martial spirit while scrapping the rest. All in all, I'd rather focus on my current two series I'm writing as NightGuard.

But I would like to clarify that the sword is a byproduct of his Body Art which is suited towards sword. In the same way his Yang Sword was born from his old constitution, a new Yin Sword is being born from his Body Art. It will become a second life bound spirit, and it has unique purposes in the story a Yang Sword should not. Dw I'm not just trying to make him a duel-wielding Kirito. On the other hand, I agree with you that the sword unison was illogical on my end, so I removed it. It was only supposed to be a kind of quest for him in order to complete his constitution but is honestly too extreme. That's why, as of this comment, I have removed it. :)

I revised the chapter to make it clearer for those who are unfamiliar with how these circles work. Yes, Xuan Zi is strong. Yes, Shrek will not release him. But you also must understand that it undermines his authority. In the future, if he puts support behind a person or idea, then the other elders can bring up this incident as a reminder of his 'historically poor judgement.' Although it might still get passed, this is a kind of stain to his political influence and reputation. This is what I meant by 'whole career' not the kind of Guardian role he has in Shrek, but I was likely unclear.

Oh! Almost forgot. This is later in the story but who should I replace in the Shrek Seven Devils? It's between three: Jiang Nannan, He Caitou, and Xiao Xiao. I have my choice but I would like to see other opinions as it might change my mind. REASONS BELOW Reasons - Jiang Nannan does nothing in Shrek tournament but I do like Xu Sanshi and his development revolves around her like Tang San + Xiao Wu. - He Caitou is a cool guy and I have no problems with him, but he is honestly the least change if I were to replace him. - Xiao Xiao is... lol. Idk.
